New Guy on Deck

Unread post by goviwan »

Sorry for the cheesy subject (well, maybe not).

Greetings! I had been collecting decks since I was in my early 20s, but nothing serious, and I didn't really know what to look for. I recently started taking it seriously and have learned quite a bit at this point (though, still a bit of an amateur...for example, you'll notice in the photos that I have several Merz decks). I currently have over 130 decks and many KS decks awaiting arrival.

Thanks! The displays are clear, plexiglass, nail polish racks that I found on Amazon for about $40 each. Cheap, but effective.

Welcome, you have a lot of good decks in there and the displays are one I haven't seen before. Good find! Also, I like your punny intro. :D

Sent you a pm about those displays, but I think you may have to post 3 times before you can send PMs :oops:

I thought I might have a request for the display case/rack, which I meant to include, but forgot. It is off of the Amazon US website. Here 'tis:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CDO ... UTF8&psc=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Let me know if this doesn't work and I'll be happy to try to find a better one. Basically, this one is a six-shelf, clear, plexiglass rack (for nail polish) and is open in the front. The description has some conflicting info, but it is 24" high x 14" wide and you can fit five poker size decks on each shelf.

Cheers!

I should also mention that three of the four were received with a busted corner on the upper right or upper left side of the shelf. It didn't affect anything, but you should know that in advance. Otherwise they're great.

Thanks!

@ LA Karnival: I love pretty much any deck that has Bicycle on it and have been eyeballing some older stuff on eBay but haven't made the leap yet. I am also watching one of the authentic, non-repro versions of the spotter decks from USPCC. Right now I'm trying get my modern collection to a respectable size, but if I see something that I gotta have, I'll probably go for it.

Is there a better site out there for collectors than eBay?
