As for a web page, not sure, but Google's browser-Chrome-will translate a great number of languages. I use it for Amazon.de all the time

Oh, there are Several which support translating between many languages.Maddest Hammer wrote:Robert, I have not, but I understand the process. I do speak a little German, unlike Germans who speak great English, and will reply that they speak a little, I really do speak ein bisschen Deutsch. I imagine it is pretty funny.

Haha i dont usually post HQ photos on this thread, its a simple photo from the iPad. Damn the expectations are getting higherMaddest Hammer wrote:Not your usual photo qualitybut nice haul, none the less. I don't say this often, but I really like the Executive deck.
Yep, I agree. I do always pick up those things that just look unusual to my eye, simply because if at this point I haven't ever seen a deck by that company, even if it's a common deck it isn't "over here" and that one obviously isn't common, nor contemporary, it's definitely vintage if not antique (which depends on your definition, but in South Carolina is has to be 100 years old to be 'antique', and I'm 99.9% certain that this deck is)... "Square corners" is definitely outside the norm and has been for quite some time.RSLancastr wrote:I love it when a tuck says "Round Corners" on it!
It reminds of of when, in the 1960s, LP album covers often had "STEREO" on them, and listings for new TV shows in TV Guide would often say "COLOR".
All three things (Stereophonic recorded music, color TV shows and playing cards with rounded corners) have been the standard for so many years now that they are just assumed by the consumer unless otherwise noted ("MONO", "BLACK & WHITE", "SQIARE CORNERS").
Nice find!
I would say that the courts were, at least, "USPCC-inspired".Mike Ratledge wrote: Yep, I agree. What do you think about my assertion that they are/were USPCC owned or at least 'borrowed' courts?

I was watching some of these Hermes decks on eBay. Would love to have a pair, but they're out of my price range. Love the courts.volanthagel wrote:Damn mike did you get the Hermes deck ? I was looking for those, I just couldn't pull the tigger on those.
If you think the cards are expensive, you should check and see what a scarf costs...Sher wrote:I was watching some of these Hermes decks on eBay. But that scarf is magically. It automatically tells the world how rich you are ... or how poor you are since you spent all your money on a scarf.Maddest Hammer wrote:If you think the cards are expensive, you should check and see what a scarf costs...Sher wrote:I was watching some of these Hermes decks on eBay. LOL... and the wallet from the same brand costs so much you won't have money left to put in it.bhong wrote:But that scarf is magically. It automatically tells the world how rich you are ... or how poor you are since you spent all your money on a scarf.
Love your new avatar, Hammer!Maddest Hammer wrote:Sweet haul! And where on earth did you find the Blue Blood? That's the original, not a Redux.
Verloren wrote: 1 Blue White Rabbit, 1 white.
They added the white version for the NOTW project since the blue was not to be reprinted. You should get one... most of all because I'm the Mad Hatter and of course you'd love to have a deck which has me pictured... right?CBJ wrote:Verloren wrote: 1 Blue White Rabbit, 1 white.
I didn't know there was 2 versions

I picked it up on eBay, just like most of the things that I find.Maddest Hammer wrote:Mike, where did you get the Hoegaarden deck? It is one of my favorite Belgian beers, but impossible to find here in southern Germany. But I do get it occasionally, and would love to have a deck to go with my Hoe glasses.
