Two things, 1. Is it me or does Small look like Sean Connery? And 2. That close up mat thingy is awesome, I like it. Got any details on it?

I agree, it does kind of look like Connery. I'm thinking - and of course I could be 100% wrong - that this is something Jackson had his woodworker make up custom for him. I've never seen anything quite like it and it's almost as if it were custom-made to show off 4-wide playing cards. "I've been wrong before...".

Yep, looks like Connery to me. Jackson's wood cases are art by themselves. The Acrylic he does aren't bad either.

Yeah I'd love to have some of those lucite cases! but those wood framed mats wouldn't be all that hard to craft up really. While they're awesome idk what I'd use something like that for, but I'm really wanting to make one for some reason.

Sorry if this was brough up before, I tried to check the thread but it is kind of massive at this point. When I look at the hound of baskervilles deck picture provided on Jackson's website there seems to be some kind of dealers coin under it with a hound and a red background. I looked on the kickstarter page but didn't see the coin offered. Is this a coin or something else or maybe im just missing something? Anyway if that is a coin it looks awesome and i would most definitely want one.

I didn't sign many decks this time around. Just a few for friends and family. Not near as many as the Feds. Probably just a hand full.

This is a bit off topic, but I just got this today as a pasalubong/souvenir from my bf who went off Island and I'm just so giddy about it. It's the complete compilation of Sherlock Holmes stories, part of Barnes and Noble's leather-bound classics books. He bought it on impulse because he knew how much I love Sherlock Holmes (and yes, I would have caught the mislabeled banners, but then again I don't open decks unless I have at least two, so it's a moot point). The design reminds me a lot of the Holmes deck.

Thanks :) Other Sherlock Holmes stories are much shorter than the Hound of Baskervilles, so you may be able to read one or two in your spare time, if you're interested. I got into Sherlock Holmes and mystery stories in general when I was perusing my literature book in middle school, which had all sorts of different poems and short stories. I came across The Adventure of the Speckled Band and really liked unique ending, so I started reading of Sherlock Holmes. Plus I thought it was cool that the author was knighted so he was addressed as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. :P

If you got the Moriarty edition and didn't opt for a rerun, Jackson said he would wait a week, to give people a chance and then he would start shipping again. All tolled, I will end up with 9 Moriarty decks, 5 originals, and 4 V2's. And then I wait for the massive backlog of mail going out from Chicago. Ugh

Since I'm in the "I don't care" boat and I made that clear, I'm almost 100% certain that my orders are coming WITH the 'mistake' decks. From a little back-and-forth Jackson and I had yesterday, I'm about 99% certain that is true. I'll post pix as soon as I have them in hand, which I'm thinking might be tomorrow, but worst case will be on Monday. The problem with Saturday is that my post office is only open between 9am and 10am and I'm working that day.

I wasn't able to get the Moriarty deck during the campaign/backerkit. I had to give up my early bird tier G 1 tier for a brick that included all the decks, so my order was only for one LE deck then I added on a bakerstreet and Hounds deck on backerkit later. I plan to complete my Sherlock deck collection eventually, though! Yeah, the post office can be slow sometimes. It's kind of like that here, too... And I'm eagerly awaiting my tax refund. Lol

ordered the wooden box option, and added 2 x hounds decks as well.

So 12 decks already ordered (as i get 2 of each deck, 2x Sherlock, 2x Moriarty, 2x Baker Street, 2x Baker LE, and 4x Hounds) , and now just ordered 2 more of the 2nd Edition Moriarity decks as well, so will end up with 14 decks in total.

English customs are going to have a field day.

can't wait for these.

i bought set of the brand Fed's 1 and 2's so have got the 5 decks as well but had to get them from ebay as i wanted them for my collection, and have backed the independence decks for the SL22 as well (so another 12 decks here as well).

BTW, Jackson alluded to something secret about the Hounds deck that he would reveal upon arrival. Do you or anyone else know what that is?

Well, he hasn't said, and I am sworn to secrecy. I am sure it will come out in the next few days. Here are a couple of the Hounds uncuts. I did go "all in" on HotB - two bricks & two uncuts, among other things, like a brick of Baker Street decks, two LE decks that I ordered signed as well. A total of 10 of the Homes & Moriarty decks with at least one of each signed as well. Enjoy!  :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar:

Now wishing I would have added a couple more Baker Streets. Wonder if Jackson would take a couple of the extra Moriarty's I got and switch them for BS's...ah hindsight.

Seriously, though, NICE haul!

I can't help but think that you're being a bit of a show-off. Jackson is telling his backers that they are gonna have to wait a week to get their pledges if it includes a Moriarty deck. And here you go posting a link to your board with a picture of the Moriarty deck in it. Real classy move.

Absolutely perfect, Jackson! You couldn't have hurt these by driving a truck over them (well, maybe?). The shipping method you are using now is by far the best I've ever seen.

Everything was double and triple protected in both the uncuts tube and the big box which basically was the size of a gross box that USPCC ships them out to customers in. As usual, you've done yourself proud! Just amazingly well done, and those tucks just turned out amazing... I'm one of those people that in general doesn't open my decks, but with the Moriarty decks I'm going to be able to at least play with a few of them. I'm pretty sure that I won't even think about opening any of those Limited Edition decks, because for one thing those are specifically intended to appeal to collectors, and the value just doesn't hold if you break the seals. Besides, I can always open one of the standard Baker Street decks and play with those if I really want to handle them. The HotB sticker is cool, too! You always go out of your way to make everybody happy!

I wish everybody had the same courtesy in return for you...

Bama, he said that before he made the decision to go ahead and launch the reprint deck on kickstarter. I'm not in Jackson's head (yet), but I'm pretty sure that he is shipping them all and not just for me. I wasn't the first to receive them either, I saw several people already post on the project page that they had received their deck(s) as early as Wednesday. I know everybody likes to think that I ask for special treatment, and that's just not true. If it were up to me I would have people fulfill all of their overseas shipments first but that's just not practical. The most fair way to do it would be to somehow get the international out the door first, but it's just not do-able.

If you think I'm showing off MYSELF, you're WAY off base: I'm showing off how well the KW Fulfillment did with their project fulfillment. I was surprised as heck that they showed up because I worked from 5AM until 3PM today and I wasn't expecting to see them until Monday, frankly. The postal service here in this little 600-person town is usually one of the slowest in the country and I can almost always count on an extra day delay for things that I see everybody else get first - 99% of the time. They are open from 9-10AM on Saturdays, and I work the same shift on Saturdays.

Am I happy to show off the first significant stash of Sherlock Holmes decks? You bet your @ I am, but I didn't ask for any special treatment. I did pay a lot of $$ for my pledge for these, no doubt - not to show off, but because I really liked them, especially the Hound of the Baskervilles decks! You know, I'm starting to think that no matter what people do these days somebody is going to bitch about it one way or another. Amazing that people have to make something out of nothing.
