volantangel wrote:Any takers that this wont fund ? Why is collectable playing cards changing its usual MO, are the older decks not selling well ?
The tracking page says they need $250 per day to fund. They have $908 today. I just pledged for half a brick for $58 so add that. It's a popular subject so my guess is it will fund. I doubt it will break records but I think it will make it.
As for my pledge, I have always like this subject. I mostly collect cards for their beauty but also what I like. I won't keep all 6 decks. I'll eBay 3 or 4 to help offset the cost.
PS Voltangel.... I am looking up some of the stuff you are selling. I just need to get it into my budget. We'll see next payday.
PPS I am very new to this. What is their usual MO?

$7,500 isn't enough for a USPCC deck though. But I guess they have funds from their previous projects and/or current business.
Yeah, their KS goals are usually below the normal range for USPCC decks, because they have the store to resell extra decks later, and the capital to subsidize the up front costs...
Haha about halfway gone after a day ? Iooks like I'm not gonna do very well.
Haha here's what I planned, I'll get you a deck of similar value from a retailer in the US, no point paying more for shipping than the deck itself and you should do the same
But I honestly don't see the appeal of this deck, wayy too much blood and the art work is mediocre. But perhaps the theme and low goal would save it

I'm not gonna hold you to it. Wouldn't be fair. Or honorable. Now if you visit here and want to play poker..... well that's a different story.
It's one of those decks people will either love or hate. If you saw my tattoos you'd understand.

Haha its fair enough for me, we made the wager when the KS barely started, no one could have known the outcome. Early birds are almost gone, so its still too early to tell
I only got one deck of Old Masters and I got one deck of these. Their cards are very good. At least they don't put out the same deck with slight changes and different colors like Elite does.
Btw the King of Hearts should look like the Jack of Spades. . . . . . . like Becky said, it's some wrong stuff but we'll just let it alone.

OK, you're on my friend and may the best collector win.......
I almost did what Tom did, but decided I needed to break the cycle. I went with a few (3) Old Masters decks, 3 Pyromaniac decks, even a couple of each Creepy. They come rolling in the door monthly, so at some point it just becomes one more, I almost didn't do "Old Masters".

I have an Insane Clown Posse deck somewhere. I don't remember anything about it other than:
I bought it, sight unseen, at a Hot Topic in 2001 or so (I was there with my kids, okay?)
I was disappointed in it (I wish it had been along the lines of this KS deck)

Oh man, please don't say "ICP"!
