You just happened to be carrying around a brick of decks at a summer resort or is that your backyard? Haha

That's some phenomenal photography, nice work!

Finally Paul's turn, i was struggling to find suitable props to work with the themes of Paul's decks. Hence I attempted something different with the first photo, not the best but i tried :D

P.s. I might try to recreate a photo (not sure if paul remembers) i did in the past that can only be done with aurum at that point of time, but of a higher quality =)

Thanks Bob, i was going to recreate a photo i did in the past, and this came up completely out of the blue.

I was trying to recreate this:

Nice, VA! That RO QH just might be my favorite Uusi card yet! :)

The BB Joker was my favorite Uusi card until I got my RO Limied a day or two ago.

(The way the geometric shapes in the RO courts fool the eye into seeing movement is great, and nowhere in the deck better, I think, than on the QH)

Will there be a card I like even better in PAGAN, "Hotcakes" or the upcoming Sixth Uusi deck? Time will tell!

I don't have the Redux - are its courts the same as those in the original?

Thanks for the info on the Redux!

Way cool postcard, by the way.

It makes me wonder what their postcards will look like during the "Hotcakes" campaign! ;)

Haha no idea, its my one and only postcard from them after a little mess up on the shipping side. Id love nothing more than just a postcard to go along with the package but of course id recognise the amount of extra work it entails.

Yeap it is, in fact Linnea's signature is on the side covered by the other deck, both of the pictured decks are signed =)

I have both sets of Bohemias and Royal Optiks signed, im in fact looking for a blue blood that is signed, but its so rare ive never seen one before.

Rob the diptych is not from the original blueblood, its from the later redux. You should definitely get one of those !

Coming up is one of my rarest items in my collection, a signed and numbered original blue blood uncut !

Hi Kai!

We just saw this thread! We loved looking at all the photographs of decks in your collection. What really comes through in all of the shots is how much you value these objects and also, how much they inspire you creatively. It is not easy to be both behind and in front of the camera, but you did an excellent job styling, composing and shooting your collection. Photography is all about editing down to the essentials and the items you chose to include with the decks not only complimented them, but lent a nice, personal touch that gave us a little glimpse into your world and greatly added to the story being told. Awesome project, Kai and very flattering to have been a part of it, thank you!

Linnea & Peter

P.S. Can't wait to see what you do with the Pagan and Hotcakes decks :D

Thanks Linnea & Peter ! Your complements are priceless. Its a pity i dont have one of your wooden boxes to work with, im sure it looks amazing in person. I want to think you and all the other designers that have put out great decks for me to have such great material to work with, the most important thing in a photo is the subject, without a good subject there really isnt any photography. I too cant wait for Pagan and Hotcakes to be released, im sure they will look even better in person.

Heres another glamour shot of the Bohemias !

For Pagan, I'm thinking a bearskin rug.

For Hotcakes... :o  ...a Pucci scarf, perhaps?
