Now, now. She said first day of spring. For us here in New York City / EDT it doesn't happen until 12:57pm, and they are in Chicago - which is one hour behind. I am sure we'll see something soon! Until then just dream of another great Uusi campaign coming up in April.

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to give you a sneak "peep" at Hotcakes! And by the thread here it looks like you guys already sniffed out the theme of the deck, which is basically a send-up on a "nudie" deck. Aside from the obvious "inspiration" and without giving too much away this early, we can tell you the medium this time around was pen, ink and markers as we wanted the artwork to be loose & playful. The look is a mix of 17th century full figure courts meets Emilio Pucci-like patterns, Andy Warhol's Pop Art, neon colors and Charles Pry's one off art decks. As always, we kept as many of the playable aspects in the design, though this one is the most "art deck" of the series so far. Just wanted to have fun and hope you do to! Look for the next Hotcakes reveal on our Facebook page in the weeks ahead :)

Just last night I was browsing eBay and came upon a pretty hardcore nudie deck printed by A. Dougherty. I was surprised and had no idea they did that.

I think that there could be a interesting LTD editions of this deck ... perhaps a LTD tuck that justifies being encased in brown wrapping paper? 8-)

It was Uusi's "Bohemia" deck that got me started collecting cards (now over 200 decks and counting), and Royal Optik is also one of my favorites. It was this preview that finally got me to sign up for these forums, too (this is my first post... Hi everyone!). I can't wait to back this project.

I LOVE the idea of the "discreetly wrapped" limited deck. It's the perfect deck for that. :)

You know a vintage style "peep show" shadow box design. Couple of nice drawers to hold a couple decks, but look through an end or angled viewfinder opening and see the queen of hearts, etc. Single card slot, etc..Some ornate scroll work, etc.. lots of possibilities..

I would love to see hand-rouged bits and/or gilded bits on the framed uncut deck. I bought the framed uncut Pagan deck (can't wait to get it!) and I'd put them up facing each other in my study.

No extra charge, we're always full of ideas - and stuff! If everybody just listened to the comments here they would be so much better off in the end.

One question : USPCC has previously refused to print a deck on the grounds that there were breasts on some cards.
Finally, it is memory that I recall it.

Could well be, although USPC Legal Department didn't reject it. There's a big difference in art and pornography, and Requiem is hardly porno, and this certainly is not either. They did insist on Michelangelo's David being covered for another deck... (so draw your own conclusions - mine is that it's still subjective)

No, it's older than requiem, last year.
