It's a re-launch. The creator revamped the decks according to feedback; the biggest change is the courts (from b&w sketch to full color portrait), removal of some text elements, and revision of the backs.chach wrote:Wasn't something like this tried a little while back? Is it a relaunch?
I must confess, as much as I am partial to this subject matter and this execution of it, the $12 / deck price point discouraged me from pledging for more. By shaving a couple bucks off the per-deck price, he might have taken a lot more money out of my wallet. Alas.Eoghann wrote:MPC is pretty decent. Let's see how QPC does.
Dunno if $12 a deck is justified though.
I won't be backing this deck, but I am still happy about that update. EPCC is heading in the right direction when they're helping out "the little guys" and offering a more affordable quality alternative to USPCC. Two thumbs up!flyers3003 wrote:Interesting update coming on this deck. Quoting the project creator: "I'll be posting an update later today with information on the switch of printers over to Expert Playing Card Company. We are going to be partnering with Expert Playing Card Co. and the Conjuring Arts Research Center to make sure this is the highest quality deck and printed in an attractive limited edition! I hope you will continue to support the project, thank you!"
For those that were on the fence because of the printer choice, this might help you over.
It's Bill Kalush in association with Conjuring Arts that has (or found) some factories in Asia that prints decent (comparable to USPCC) playing cards. Here's a link to his intro thread on PCF.rjtomlinson1977 wrote:What is this Expert Playing Card Co? Are they new? Are they a cheaper alternative?
I wonder since they are in Asia if the delivery is going to be longer than most?MagikFingerz wrote:It's Bill Kalush in association with Conjuring Arts that has (or found) some factories in Asia that prints decent (comparable to USPCC) playing cards. I can't say that I know anything about their prices, but I'm fairly certain that they at least offer a smaller minimum run than USPCC making it a "cheaper alternative" for those who don't want/need to print 2500 decks.
Did you ever get the deck? Are the faces in full color, like the first post in this thread?rousselle wrote:Placed my order!
The "about this deck" page says that this deck has full color, painted illustrations on the face cards, but the cards shown are from the first campaign (black and white outline sketches), so I'm not sure which version of the deck is actually the one being produced. I've asked for clarification.
I did receive them, quickly and in excellent condition. The cards are great, but they are not the same version as the color, painted illustrated version as appeared in the second Kickstarter attempt. These are the black-and-white sketches from the original KS attempt (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ar ... cc-printed).bamabenz wrote:Did you ever get the deck?
