Well, they're not really THAT thick. Certainly not thin though. But Blaine is a magician, so I wouldn't expect him to produce a deck that is too far out of the box.

Yep, pretty much it! But the borders look almost like Mana Oracle edition which are pretty thick, That's the only thing I don't like on that deck!!

Since there are now carbon fiber playing cards, do you think that he'll make these stand out by printing them on real alligator leather? :-))

Agreed on basically all points, and WImps v2 isn't too far down the road at this point per "see_squared". That will be an interesting reveal, and he's already relayed both the theme of those and a future (WImps v3?) version specifically for collectors. All I can say is that he hit one out of the park with the original, so I can't wait to see what is hiding behind "Door #2".

I have tried numerous times to contact the people from David Blaine's website asking for an update, but they never respond. They have contact info on the shop website but ignore my emails. Any other card manufacturer has been more than helpful, but for some reason the people at David's site dont care. Maybe this gatorback project has been scrapped??? Does anyone know anything new?

His staff are notoriously difficult to get a response from. I'm waiting 6 weeks for a reply to 3 emails...

These look absolutely gorgeous. It's a bit of a weird subject matter for David Blaine IMO but you can't ignore the illustration. I'll be patient and get these when they're ready :)
