New Designer from PA

Hi folks,
I just found this forum today, and it's fantastic! Like many people I'm working on a deck of playing cards with a friend, but my deck really isn't targeted at collectors (more at players, fandom members), so my eyes are just now being opened to the world of playing card collecting. Totally cool.
I have strong design opinions, but not much knowledge of the history of collectable playing cards, but I'm going to learn... (I know a LOT about collectable card games as that's the industry I come from, but Magic the Gathering is a different beast all together...)

I'll try not to ask too many dumb questions, but I'm sure there will be a few...
