And rather than doing the right thing (which many other people would have done) and repackaging the error, they made the customers suffer and give us all an extra card outside the deck. They also didn't tell anyone before receiving and didn't post anything on their web site.

Does that really surprise you? They have done nothing but lie from the beginning. What product have they released have they been honest about? Remember the gold crown fiasco? They were only made to giveaway to their friends, so they only made 10 million of them.

Thanks!

Many of my Altruism Decks arrived damaged. And even though they shipped out replacements, they did not ship extra card replacements. :?

Technically not something they had to do. But now I have a bunch of dinged Altruisms with no where to go, except into collections that never open their decks. :|

Where's CBJ when you need him?

Eoghann - I found this:

"We have printed 5,000 of these amazing decks on top-quality stock and finish. The tuck box has metallic ink, a custom seal, and other surprises.

We have also created a limited run of 2,500 white Altruism decks, which we have dubbed Snow Owls. The Snow Owls have been released in limited numbers - keep an eye out for future contests and promotions!

-Detailed Artwork by Hydro74
-High-Quality Stock and Finish
-Secrets are Everywhere

NOTE - Due to a printing error made at US Playing Card, 1st edition Altruism decks have a duplicate Queen of Hearts. You will receive the Queen of Diamonds for any decks ordered in a protective envelope alongside your decks."

I like secrets. I'm sure glad they didn't use the low quality stock and nobody wants to feel the low quality finish....

Thanks to everyone who posted pictures so far!
It's like seeing my orphanage's foster children go to good homes. :D
Not that I know what that's like, and no offense to any actual foster children. :?

...maybe that's a bad analogy. :|

Anyone who got a brick and hasn't done so already, feel free to drop by my review thread and post some good words: http://unitedcardists.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=524
Not that I need it, but it would make me feel nice. :)

Keep those photos coming! ;)

These came in literally 10mins ago, what a deal sharpie barely made anything off it discounting the shipping, a giveaway indeed ! That ralph lauren deck is incredibly hard to find in these parts, slightly more than half of what i didnt have. Good job sharpie !

ps. Why arent more designers using the printer for the massas deck ? They seem to be a good replacement for uspcc if the goal is too high, the cards handle very nicely, only faros are slightly more difficult, they feel similar to the original pr1me decks which i love, and those thin borders..

8 of these I didn't have, 4 I had from different print runs, and 1 duplicate for my collection.

I honestly have no idea. I acquire some strange old things on ebay, among other places.
This one wasn't my style at all, so giving it away as a 13th deck was not difficult.
I just know what is visible through the cello. ;)

Sorry there was only one new deck for you. :| Which one was it?

I've never trusted envelopes to international collectors when there's more that 3 or 4 decks.
I'd rather use a box and get them there in the same shape as when they left me.

When i buy from the big guys like BMpoker,PS52,Aceking etc. they send me the decks in priority envelopes within bubble wrap envelopes (hope that makes sense). Had only one time one deck being badly dinged.
It´s unexpensive & faster then FirstClass :)
Anyways thanks for the free porper clip - i never had one before so i´m curious how this clip can fix misshaped decks (due card springs, le paul spreads and other tortures you can do to a deck of cards while performing with them) :D

Yes, I know it's cheaper and has a pretty good track record, but I guess I'm just overly cautious.
Plus I wouldn't have been able to fit in some of the extra goodies. ;)

Not sure where I got that one. As you know, deck thickness can vary. And that can render a Porper completely unusable on some decks (Usually Ellusionist). :(
