I got my copies of the IMPERIAL Coin yesterday. It's the first Coin I've ever designed and I'm glad we decided to do it!

I'll definitely keep adding on Coins when I back other Kickstarter Deck projects. They really are a cool extra item! I know I added the Venexiana Coin and I think I added the Federal 52 Eagle Coin (I hope I did).

thanks, Randy

Thanks Walrus!

I'm not sure what they're made of. I just know they have an Antique Gold Finish, a 2" Diameter, are 3.5 mm thick and have a nice weight to them.

Thanks, Randy

Hey PrincessTrouble,

I'm glad you like them! We ordered 100 IMPERIAL Coins. So far 72 have been ordered through KS/BackerKit, Kevin and Alex each have 1 and I greedily wanted 3 for myself. So right now we have 23 Coins unspoken for. Whatever's leftover will be on the HOPC site with the remaining Red Decks. You should be able to still add a Coin through your BackerKit link. We won't lock the BackerKits down until USPCC has the Decks ready to ship to TBC.

And, so I'm not just hijacking the Collection Thread for no reason, here's a Nightmare Before Christmas Deck I bought at DisneyWorld last year. The Cards are made in China and the Courts are repeating. The Aces are all unique with different illustrations of Lock, Stock and Barrel. The Coffin case is the best part!

thanks, Randy

Brimstones cost like a fortune still, don't know why when Quicksilvers are very easy and low priced to get.. I might get the blue/gold Bee deck.

Nice!

I think I have three different NBC decks, one of them in the coffin-shaped box, so I think it is the same one you have there!

I bought one of them at Disneyland (at the Haunted Mansion), one on eBay, and - I think that I got the third one at Downtown Disney (a shopping mall right next to Disneyland).

A lot of the custom decks sold at Disneyland have repeating courts, which seems like a bit of a rip-off, but is better than no custom decks at all, I suppose!

Hi, Randy! I'll go for a coin myself: just change my BackerKit response?

By the way - how much do they charge you for those Nightmare in Christmas decks in person?

Hey Ratledge,

Yep! Any Backer can go to this link (https://imperialdeck.backerkit.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) to adjust their Add-Ons.

I bought the Nightmare Deck when we at DisneyWorld in May 2012, so I don't remember how much it was. It was at one of the stores inside the Park so I'm guessing they were around $12 - $15. It looks like the same Decks are available at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Disneys-Nightmare ... B006J3J1FW" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

thanks, Randy

I have that deck, and had forgotten that it was a Piatnik deck:

The deck was designed and created by artist Evelyne Nicod. Here is her web site:

http://www.gatteria.it
See my note in the "White Whale" thread. I am almost certain that I have a dozen or more of these decks coming soon.

I'm thinking they are going to cost me 30 Euro, so around $50 per deck, red and blue both should be available. I *CAN* get one or two of the earlier Black & White deck - but those are more like 35-40 Euro, so it would be $60-70, and there is O-N-E complete tin of the Piatnix # 2117 with two decks (sealed) available if anyone wants it, but he wants 250 Euro for that one (close to $400 US). If anyone wants either of the two latter I mentioned (B&W deck or the 1 Piatnik 2117 tin), please let me know NOW!!

The other two images from the original (1994) "Gatteria deck" ("cat" in italian) deck she made before she did the color one for Piatnik in 1997. I gaurantee you won't find another one. Same goes for anyone that wants the single sealed tin for 250€ + shipping. They don' make 'em any more.

Notice there's a "One-eyed Jack" (Queen & King) in this deck:

Ratledge, thanks for posting all of that.

I am now pretty sure that my copy of the deck is/was NOT the Piatnik edition, but an earlier one.

I seem to recall corresponding briefly with Ms. Nicod, and my copy might even be signed by her (I don't recall for sure).

Aye. I thought it was her son I was communicating with, but it seems to be her live-in mate, I have to assume. She doesn't do much these days, nearing her 80th birthday. I believe it's likely the ones I have on the way, they are in a single box with a red or blue dot on one side, maybe? (signifying which color backs you have)

I found her 2014 calendar online in Kindle format, but only in Italian, I'm pretty certain that Rodolfo does the text and she just does the artwork these days. I don't speak Italian, so some of the stuff I see will have to be fed to http://translate.google.com so I can figure out what was said.

When I asked about getting them signed, he stated that she was likely up for doing "a couple", we'll see when they arrive. He didn't say, but I suspect she is in poor health.

There's a message about getting a deck or two here: http://unitedcardists.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2542. I am only getting a dozen for sale now, and another dozen for trades later on. I have ONE each of the original (Black & White) decks and the Piatnik # 1277 sealed tin available, but I didn't get the latter shipped due to the cost. If anyone wants it, it's 250 Euro plus shipping, and is the last one known for sale. Believe me, I have tried every way I know including looking in danmark, austria (where they were made), italy, japan, australia, etc. There just aren't any more of Piatnik # 1277 available for sale anywhere as far as I can tell.
