Wow that is pretty low. How many times did they tell us these things didn't exist? Then all of a sudden they magically found uncuts in their warehouse that they claimed were samples. But exactly how many samples does one freaking make anyway? And now all of a sudden the decks are now real. D&D, Ellusionist, all of them are turning into freaking liars that we just can't believe any more. I no longer will believe anything these morons tell us on the forums or elsewhere because it obviously isn't true.

I used some of my points and paid a total of $3 for one other deck plus this, shipped .

This is extremely convenient timing on Ellusionist's part seeing as our annual membership is coming to an end soon. This is obviously being done to try and persuade members to pay for their overpriced membership once again. Hopefully they give current renewing members a lower renewal rate. We shouldn't have to pay the same as new members.

As of today, Friday, November 1st, 2013 at 7:35pm Pacific Daylight Savings Time, the web page for the Ellusionist Red Arcane playing cards uncut sheets (at http://www.ellusionist.com/red-arcane-p ... sheet.html) says:

For years there were rumors of another Arcane deck. The rumors were partially true. The Red Arcane exists, but only in uncut sheets.

A while ago, United States Playing Card Company printed our Gold Arcane decks and sheets. At the same time they offered to print uncut sheets of Red Arcanes as part of the Gold Arcane print run so that we could see how they looked. We had been thinking about red as well as gold.

A handful of these sheets made their way into the collections of our team and select artists before being stored in the warehouse. We forgot about them until recently, so we thought you might like to add the Red Arcane Uncut Sheet to your collection.

These are never being reprinted. Because of their limited nature, there is a limit of 2 per customer.

I did not add that emphasis at the end, by the way. It's in bold on their website.

I'm surprised they haven't redacted this page, yet.

I think its pretty well documented from my posts that I am extremely skeptical of most the magic companies out there - D$D, T11, and BC in particular. I think the only company that has fair pricing and minimal marketing hype is David Blaine. I always had somewhat of a soft spot for E - the Black Tiger deck was my first custom deck and they ignited my passion for collecting. Plus, E was usually honest about the print run of their limited decks while other companies either won't disclose their numbers or misrepresent or outright lie.

Having said this, the Red Arcane deck debacle is a screw up of epic proportions equal to any marketing hype BS excreted by T11 or D$D. So these ultra limited and rare Red Arcanes, which only existed in the form of a handful of uncut sheets never to be reprinted, now exist as fully produced decks complete with a custom tuck box? God, these guys must truly believe that we're just a bunch of gullible idiots! Extremely disgusting and disappointing and I really hope a representative from E comes here to try to explain this crap.

I'm an international so paying international shipping, getting one deck and getting a *free* deck as well sounds like a decent deal to me.
It's the $147 "entrance fee" to the black club that makes me hesitate.
I am curious to get a red arcane though.

There is code to get them which can be used only by Black Club Mambers - with the time limit till 14th November.
So you should be able get them.
But to be sure I suggest you contact Ellusionist's support.

This honestly upsets me....I am having a Red Arcane uncut framed to display proudly on my wall....and then Ellusionist does this. What rousselle said is still true; they have yet to alter the page for the uncut sheet.

We seem to be missing the bigger point here. It's not like they can just punch the cards out of excess uncut sheets and sell them. What tuck box would they use?! This had to have been printed as a deck, or they just so happen to have "found" lots of empty "prototype" boxes for a deck that they claim they never wanted to sell. How can they justify that?

I'm very curious to see what the box looks like, and if any Black Club members can post pictures I'd appreciate it.

Exactly! That's the thing that gets me pissed. But then again, companies are run by people, and people are certainly not above lying to make a profit. There's noway else to see it. They got a demand, they want people's money, and they're not sticking to their morals. Do you know how many out-of-print decks would love to have a second run, but the designers don't simply because they actually have morals and standards? Limited means limited, not "limited for now".

The uncut is beautiful, which is why it's being framed. I have an uncut of the Gold Arcane too and I want to have that framed next to the Red one when I get the money to do so. I just wanted it to stay that way; the Red Arcane being a beautiful work of limited and rare art. Now....now I don't know what to make of my "limited" sheet.

I can tell you one thing for sure, I'm torn. I want the Red deck to compliment the uncut....but I don't want to give Ellusionist money and make them think that it's alright to do this. I don't have a Black Club membership anyway, so I guess I'm not even a customer they care about.

Hopefully it won't be too crazy of a price tier. Of course, I would have loved to pick it up during the "buy the uncut, get the deck" sale they had!
