Brown Rounders?
Brown Rounders?
Seems to be rumours going around of Brown Rounders and Daniel posted a tweet saying he will have new Rounders news next week, can anyone confirm it?

Can't be bothered with these if it's true, a third colour on a deck with barely and back design, no. Just no.

Re: Brown Rounders?
Anthology: $95
How to Cheat at Cards: $55 (and isn't this the guy who's claim to fame is almost being killed cheating? Shouldn't it be "How NOT to Cheat at Cards"?)
Brick of Wynn Brown Rounders, delivered (w/BC disc): $80.78....
Yeah, Milton, I'm gonna have to go ahead and pass on this....

Brick with shipping to Europe (First Class Mail) is $99,67
Plus customs fees and VAT - around 25% of that price!

Re: Brown Rounders?
Shameless money grab on the shipping. Done with Ellusionist. $45 (cheapest) to ship 17 decks? And that's not even Priority.

I've already once, not so long time ago, compared shipping prices of all main companies and they are almost the same... you can find my post...you can also check prices at USPS...Strag wrote:Shameless money grab on the shipping. Don't blame Ellusionist for using market prices.

I do blame them when Mike can ship me the exact same amount of decks for 40% less.BLACKWHITE wrote:I've already once, not so long time ago, compared shipping prices of all main companies and they are almost the same... you can find my post...you can also check prices at USPS...Strag wrote:Shameless money grab on the shipping. Re: Brown Rounders?
You could certainly call them "market prices" just because all the big companies use the same shipping calculator, but it isn't actual shipping prices. Of course, nobody can force them not to add whatever they want as the "handling" part of S&H, but it's no more than a money grab. Mike (BMPoker) has posted factual data on this countless times.BLACKWHITE wrote:I've already once, not so long time ago, compared shipping prices of all main companies and they are almost the same... you can find my post...you can also check prices at USPS...Strag wrote:Shameless money grab on the shipping. Re: Brown Rounders?
I agree with you that Mike (BMP) offers lower (very good) shipping cost- that plus wide range of decks is purpose of his business.
But whole discussion is pointless - first check what you can buy there - what you can't...

Re: Brown Rounders?
So just because they are the only ones that sell that particular deck, it's ok for them to gouge the shipping prices on something that is of the exact same size and weight as what others ship for much lower WITHOUT losing money? Nobody is saying that profiting off of dialed-up shipping prices is illegal, but it IS morally wrong. What Mike does isn't just "very good"; it's the right thing to do. He charges what USPS charges him + costs of shipping material + whatever it is he charges for his handling time (probably ~$0.50). A big company like E probably has a more sophisticated and automated handling system, so they have no excuse for charging more.BLACKWHITE wrote:I agree with you that Mike (BMP) offers lower (very good) shipping cost- that plus wide range of decks is purpose of his business.

Re: Brown Rounders?
in addition : most times my custom fees do apply because of the extra $5-8 they overcharge you on bigger orders.MagikFingerz wrote:So just because they are the only ones that sell that particular deck, it's ok for them to gouge the shipping prices on something that is of the exact same size and weight as what others ship for much lower WITHOUT losing money? it´s not that they could write a lower value on the parcel....nope always full value declared. voila! say hello to a extra 19% of customs fees on top what i already paid.

Don't want to be "Ellusionist's full-time lawyer" so let's skip parts about telling things like "package-box" with "insurance"...MagikFingerz wrote: Nobody is saying that profiting off of dialed-up shipping prices is illegal, but it IS morally wrong.
There are so many things about anyone can complain nowadays - like prices of gas, taxes, unemployment... and now shipping costs...

Once again all companies are to make money-profit... but big companies got more clients and more complains...
So belive me it's the same on forums about Microsoft, Apple or... Statoil and BP

If they put bigger value on customs declaration that should - just contact support - I am sure they will find way to compansate that mistakecosmicsecret wrote: most times my custom fees do apply because of the extra $5-8 they overcharge you on bigger orders.

About "full value" - that's company policy... belive me I've tried to change it and spoken with many people from Ellusionist... we have to just accept it.cosmicsecret wrote: it´s not that they could write a lower value on the parcel....nope always full value declared. voila!
I pay VAT 23% plus customs fees (value with shipping cost!) so consider yourself lucky !!cosmicsecret wrote: say hello to a extra 19% of customs fees on top what i already paid.

Let's go back to main topic - I like Blue Rounders but Brown not so much...

I live pretty close, so they only charge me $3 to ship a deck and $9 for a brick. But it also means I have to pay CA sales tax.
