Update: I received word this morning from the USPC that the Whispering Imps™ are printed, boxed and scheduled to shipped out to me next week...way ahead of schedule!

I will start shipping decks to backers on October 14th.

AWESOME!! Can't wait to get them in my grubby little hands.

Latest update

Great news to get your weekend started...I'm happy to announce that the Whispering Imps™ playing cards are printed, boxed, wrapped in cellophane and on their way to Los Angeles where I will begin shipping orders on October 14th.

Additionally, the hand printed posters are near complete and the Imp T-shirts provided by Dan & Dave Buck are now going to be specially printed with the Whispering Imps™ logo incorporated into the top back of the shirt making it a very exclusive edition t-shirt.

The folks over at The United States Playing Card Company were kind enough to overnight one of each deck and I received them today. I haven't had the opportunity to take proper photos, but here are a few that I took with my iPhone to share with all of you (believe me...these photos don't do this deck justice).

The detail in the cards is absolutely incredible, the colors are perfect and the finishing work of the foil and embossing on the tuck boxes is truly unbelievable. I also added a few extra secrets to the tuck boxes...just for fun.

I'm looking forward to shipping these out to you on Oct. 14th!

The backs are a classic theme. You hit it right on the mark. Usually, people look at the middle and look up, but you made it work. I like people who go against the norm. The box is so simple, but yet I have to say looks better than the cards.

It was always my intent to keep the box simple and effective, but the make the backs of the cards inside stand out with incredible detail. The red tuck has taken me by surprise, the level of detail that has been achieved with the embossing and red foil on red paper is better than I imagined it could be.

Anyone who has backed this project, i've been shipping out orders every day this week...expect them in your mailbox soon!

I received my Imps today, and I have to say I was literally blown away by them. The pictures in NO WAY do how incredible these decks are justice. The red foil on the red tuck is incredible. The simplicity of the elements of tuck mixed with the the details of the back work so well together. The craftsmanship of the art and attention to details is top notch. The red imp deck is no one of favorite decks. Thank you Chris for doing an incredible job.

UPDATE: I'm just over half way though shipping all the orders. It's rather overwhelming just how much time goes into packing up thousands of decks of cards to hundreds of backers...I hope some of you have already received your decks and are enjoying them. I'm taking a couple extra steps to ensure each deck is secured in a bubble wrap sleeve before placing them in the bubble padded envelope. Orders of 4 or more are bubble wrapped then shipped in a box.

If posting photos online...use the hashtag #whisperingimps. Would love to see what you come up with!

Just for giggles can you post pictures of the decks in bubble wrap before they go in the padded envelop. People like to see that kind of stuff.

haha, thanks for sharing the vid. It's really awesome! Yeah...it's kind of like that at my place...but it's just me at the moment. I only have one computer, label printer and scale. I'm also hand signing each thank you card corresponding to each backer number for each order. Then I cross check each order with Kickstarter and BackerKit. I'd be surprised if I get any returned mail or damaged goods haha. I expect all orders to be out by the end of October (about 45 days earlier than I had planned).

Did any dealers pick these up? I'm after a few decks after missing the kickstarter. I have seen them on art of play but there shipping to the UK is pretty expensive unfortunately. I'd love to pick these up.
Also will the red special edition decks be available at any time, from anyone?

Not sure what AoP is charging...but I significantly undercharged international shipping on Kickstarter...and will soon see the effects of that. 1 deck to England is nearly $12 (more than the price of the deck). Some bricks I've had to send out have cost nearly $40 (I charged $25 on Kickstarter)....do the math...it ain't pretty.

It depends on HOW you ship the brick. If you (for whatever reason) have to ship it like bricks usually come (in a brick box; 3x4) then it's instantly much more expensive. Mike, as well as most of the trusted ebay sellers, ship up to 16-17 decks for less than $20, but their packages are no more than 2 decks thick.
