Jebus. At this rate I don't think any extra decks will make it into the KWP website.

I was thinking the same thing. But, if anyone wants to dispose of their misaligned decks, I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands. Heck, I'll even do you a service and pay for shipping.
Seriously though, anyone that's dissatisfied with their decks and is looking to unload, I'd be interested.

Ditto here. I'd be interested in at least one of each type.
I just hope the situation isn't bad enough to warrant a small reprint just to cover the " F'ed Up 52s". Damn you USPS! And USPCC on the wonky ones.

Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
It's by design; if you look at the unbranded deck there is an identical scroll and "52" the other way up at the top of the tuck so that the two "frame" the rest of the design. On the Bicycle branded decks the top scroll is replaced by the Bicycle logo.Just noticed the "52" at the bottom of the front of the tuck is upsidedown
I seem to have been lucky - all my tuck boxes have their printing are bang on centre.

I get it, but still think he coulda flipped it for the branded decks.montecarlojoe wrote:It's by design; if you look at the unbranded deck there is an identical scroll and "52" the other way up at the top of the tuck so that the two "frame" the rest of the design. ... but then it wouldn't match the back of the tuck
If I have any criticism of the Fed 52's it's that the paper texture is identical on every card ( it's more noticeable in the Gold Certificate as the threads/fibres are quite prominent). It is a really minor quibble though!

I originally had unique fibers on all the cards, but the vast majority of people here on UC made a big stink about that being to "one way" so I changed it. If I had %100 my way front and backs would all be unique. But making you guys happy is something I wanted to do.

Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
The 2-wayness is nice (I hadn't noticed till you said!)
Seems to me it's an odd argument though (from the community) - a 1 way pattern only helps/hinders if its the SAME 1-way pattern everywhere. If it's a random pattern you'd need to memorise every random pattern both ways up... that's at least 104 random patterns. You'd need to be a rather dedicated cardist with a very picky punter for that to make a difference.
Incidentally, the background texture of the standard Fed52s is one way - it's subtle but noticeable. More so because they are all the same...
My inner obsessive compulsiveness notwithstanding I reckon I can live with it - because they're awesome

Hi Jackson, maybe you missed my question earlier, but why is the font on the #5 cards in Fed52 different than the rest of the deck and different from the Gold #5 cards?JacksonRobinson wrote:I originally had unique fibers on all the cards, but the vast majority of people here on UC made a big stink about that being to "one way" so I changed it. I'd file that under "tiny mistake". It's just a little narrower than the other numerals - with all the detail in the deck it's understandable.
Or file it under "unique features"

I figured it might just be a mistake, perhaps an older font that was changed for all the numbers except that one.montecarlojoe wrote:I'd file that under "tiny mistake". It's just a little narrower than the other numerals - with all the detail in the deck it's understandable.

But then I wondered... the "5" card on Fed"52"? Maybe there's some difference on the "2's" as well and it's a secret easter egg or something to find?

Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
I know Jackson will be putting the reminder up on his website but we all know there won't be many and i just want to make sure i get my hands on one of the Gold Cert unbranded decks. If anyone has one to sell or trade i am willing to negotiate. I am new to the card collecting world and don't have much to trade but hopefully we could figure something out. Thanks!

The first three coins are awesome, but I think I can do without the Reserve Note coin. The only improvement these coins could've had was if the edges of the coins were reeded like actual coins (dimes, quarters, half-dollars, silver dollars).

Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
Some of my decks came in today and I have to agree with everyone here. They were worth the wait.
I only received my I branded decks and poker chips so far. Not. Sure why Jackson would send them in separate shipments but now I am really looking forward to the others.
Does anyone have any creative ideas or framing the uncut sheets of these.
I should have one of each coming in and really want to put them up with style

Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
They're now available on the Kings Wild website.
However hold onto your hats when you see the price.
Considering the supply and demand on these though, I'm sure it will be a continue to be a highly prized deck.

Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
Yeah slightly overpriced IMO. No other creator has sold their decks for anywhere near that price,

Wow, that's quite the sticker shock. Not what I was expecting at all.
Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
They were cheaper. Jackson putting out this price caused the eBay sellers to raise theirs.sqratch wrote:I was expecting 25 bucks from him but 50 dollars geez.

Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
Well that isn't smart on their part. If anything now people will buy the $50 decks from Jackson and the resellers will lose out. Resellers would have sold them better at less than his prices and would have still made a nice profit.

Let me understand your logic - so when they gonna raise prices on eBay he will lower prices?
I would never expect such prices. Especially knowing that month ago Jackson was trading his decks on "other forum"...
Look at ratio:
1x Branded Fed 52,1x Branded Gold Cert in trade for 2x Vortex
2x Branded Fed52 (1 Signed Tuckbox), 1x Unbranded Fed 52 (signed Tuckbox), 1x Branded Gold Cert (1 Signed Tuckbox),1x Unbranded Gold Cert (1 Signed Tuckbox) in trade for 2 x (Red) Master Bicycle Riderbacks (performance finish), 1 x (blue) Master Bicycle Riderbacks (uv 500, air flow finish), 1 x Bicycle Shadowmasters (performance finish), 1 x (Red) JAQK Cellar, 2 x D&D Fantastique decks
...

I was starting to get mixed signals when Jackson was offering trades on another forum prior to the Kings Wild store going up.

Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
I don't think that's necessarily true. From what I have seen, the decks were on ebay at least a month ago and the kings wild site just went up so I don't understand how the official pricing would suddenly reflect the ebay pricing at this exact moment. Either way, the decks are great, albeit costly. It's up to him to price it accordingly. Just another reason why people should support RELIABLE decks on KS BEFORE waiting for retail. I'm definitely happy with my brick of fed 52!Verloren wrote:They were cheaper. Re: Bicycle 'Federal 52' - Shipping!
Wow those sure are some very proud prices. $50 a pop is ridiculous IMO. That's enough for some ammunition, range fees and lunch. And I'd still have money leftover rather than staring at a deck I'll never open. And that's for one deck let alone the $200 for the set. I'm all for capitalism but that's crazy.
