Update with pics

Hey guys just wanted to let you know I have received all of the proofs and I have the Fed 52 team double and triple checking everything before we throw the third switch and send the decks to the printing press. Here is a shot of the Uncut Sheets.





Also you have about 24 hours to finalize your backerkit orders. I will probably be locking them down around noon pacific time. Once they are locked I will take the next day or so to get a final tally of orders so I can have the numbers to send to USPC. So If you were planning on using backerkit head over there and finalize your order.

I also wanted to give you guys a sneak peak at the Unbranded Silver Certificate Tuck Case.

have to admit the pips are different. i've seen a lot of pips and the background design on the pips is refreshing and new. who would have thought a deck with a money theme would be successful. Also like the dash under the index. nice touch.

UPDATE #65


Great news guys! The Federal 52 part I decks have left the United States Playing Card Company and are in transit to where I will be fulfilling them in my home state of Texas. The team at USCP next day aired me a brick of each deck, here in California, and they look AWESOME! I am so pleased with how they turned out.

What does that mean?

As some of you may know I will be designing playing cards full time. Tomorrow is my official last day at the game studio where I currently am an Art Director. My wife and family left California earlier this month and I will be joining them at our new home in Tarpley, TX on the the 26th of this month. The Federal 52 Part I decks should be delivered in Texas late this afternoon. There are a ton of moving parts and other production items that I am still waiting for before I can start the fulfillment process. With that said the promised delivery date of September 2013 will be no problem and I expect that I will be able to start fulfillment in mid August. I will keep you up to date with new info the closer we get to fulfillment time. Its been a long road but the finish line is now in site. Thank you so much for you support and patience.

Design Note:

The only design change that had to be made during the production process was with the custom seal. After about three revisions and prototypes the original seal with the intricate line work couldn't not be produced to the quality I was looking for. We finally landed on a designed that has the Kings Wild Logo on a solid Green or Red background."

While I am slightly cheating, since I have had some of these for weeks now (insider perks and all that), the Federal52 Kickstarter decks are going out so a lot of you will start seeing them soon.

They are really amazing in person and I think you will all be thrilled when you get yours. He did amazing work, really setting the bar high. (As a fellow designer its actually a bit intimidating.) I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the set.

2 of my poker buddies both received theirs and the guy I turned onto the project at work got his.
I however have received nothing.
I emailed Jackson today hopefully he can update me on the delay.

I'm not sure if 2 days into September counts as a delay. I posted over 400 packages over the weekend. If you haven't got yours yet, and you buddies have it's only because your package wasn't at the top of the pile. If I have posted your package you most likely received an email saying that it has been posted with a tracking number. Patience, they are coming.

Good news is I'm sitting down with a fulfillment center to handle part II.

No worries, thanks for being patient. I don't think I ever said I was "winding down" I have been packing and fulfilling for the past 3 1/2 weeks. I pack during the day and my wife posts at night. We are pushing really hard to have everything out the door by mid September.
