I understand your perspective traaaf but while some of us were lucky to be able to get them directly from the artist, that will often not be the case if somebody commissions an artist to do a project for their membership. For 52+, that is how the artist is 'paid' but otherwise you might need a lot of luck to find one on the aftermarket at a fair price - paying the joining fee might be cheaper. I do not like buying something that I do not need but tonight I bought something extra for $5 to take an order over $100 and thus save by getting free shipping. It was not card related for a change but it almost seems a comparable situation.

Has anyone received their decks if ordered from the club website? I ordered mine very early but have not received the decks, nor have I ever even got an order confirmation. I did get a Paypal email though. I sent an email to the club asking.

Yeah, I received mine and have seen many others posting theirs on social media. The 52plusjoker Instagram is pretty active too if you want to reach out there.

I am used to half moon openings - any tips on the best way to open this seal?

I slowly peeled it off and placed it on the cellophane.

I still adore the artwork but I am not sure about the Legend stock - I don't think I have a deck with a bigger click. I would have liked to see what they looked like on less glossy white stock too

That is what I always do for decks with seals: just slowly peel them off and paste it on the cello. Just being hopeful that the seal ain't a stubborn one.

For the usual half moon flap insert, I am happy to neatly break the seal along the curve as the closed flap realigns the 2 halves but as I was not sure what the mechanism was for this flap, I did not want to gamble

A shoutout to a classic design. Have to admit this has come out quite beautifully. Nice appealing colours, subtle touches here and there. Courts look fantastic there, especially the faces.

Everyone's already raving about these, these have come out fantastically well. Classics being brought into the modern day with style.

It brings absolute joy to receive this on MAILDAY

It’s like a treasure unearthed after 200 years buried, and being restored to it’s glory with excruciating tedious works…

I get to see whatever deck used to be in the old days: such as, no indices, only pips - courts that are full length - KoH that is not harming himself - no Jokers

Modern revival of it: gold foil details on faces - FLUSH gold foil on the back - Elettra’s art style - ONE JOKER (it’s definitely a call to the convention: 52 cards PLUS a joker)

I like it a lot too laito, I just don't love it - for the reasons posted earlier. I am not a bling guy and looking at the beautiful seal, I wonder how beautiful a simple version may have been (on bicycle stock)

Easily one of my favorite decks of the year. Only bummer is that the Uusi club deck I ordered with it turned out to be out of stock. Oh well. This one is incredible though.

The only negative thing I have to say about this deck is the placement of the seal. I don't know why but in the moment it appeared to me that I should cut it as I do normally accidentally cutting off the part of the flap that would allow the outermost part to hold the entire deck together. Maybe I'll have to order a new one.

You could alternatively use a piece of tape on the inside, to reattach the cut flap back.

A couple of weeks in the card press and the click has gone (permanently?). I wonder whether it is a Legends thing as Osprey and Goshawk have now gone to the press!

As far as i am concerned, Legends playing cards has had some trouble with warped decks that click. No printers are exempt from imperfections but warped decks are a big let down. I wonder if it has anything to do with the cards being packaged and sealed before they can fully cure from the presses? Is that even a thing? Is it caused from excessive heat or moisture or etc? 30$ decks are already trivial but to not have a perfect deck when paying high prices is inexcusable imo and part of the reason things have drastically tightened up around the hobby for me. Spending so much on decks and not being totally satisfied does not mean Luxury to me.

I got some DMC’s a ways back like that - but after a few days out of the pack they flattened out and lost the click by themselves - seems to not be unheard of. I have had other decks that arrived warped that no amount of time or pressing could fix…

Thanks G, I must try just leaving them out of the pack - maybe next time I have opened 2 of a deck which click, I can do an experiment
