Tuckbox makes me think of t11's Stranger Things.

Re: Turris Octava by Oxalis Playing Cards
Yeahhh, I'm going to have to say that I would never confuse this card with anything that Gio has ever done (that I've seen). This designer is using a completely different design language. I can't recall the name of the technique, but the <whatever> effect used to create a three-dimensional aspect to the crown goes with the two-dimensional aspect of the rest of the drawings the way the rounded hands go with the angular elements on the face. This is NOT me saying that this is bad by any stretch; it's an artistic choice that provides an interesting effect. But it's not like anything I recall seeing Gio experiment with before. (Those are just two examples.)
I have enjoyed Oxalis designs in the past, although this one doesn't sing to me the way a previous project of theirs did. Regardless, I don't think this designer was actually shooting for a Gio "look." Very different aesthetic.

Ah. I remember now. The technique used to make something appear to be 3D that was used for the crown in the above illustration is "converging lines."
As for different perceptions, that is SO true. I've been on the JazzBaloo/Harvonsgard end of this conversation more than once!

Campaign is live! Does feel very reminiscent of TWI

Is this be the same guy who was altering the colors and introducing different seals for additional funds?
Also being rude to his backers
Or am I mistaken in my recollection?

Yup, that's the guy. I don't back his projects because he's been known to be rude on UC even before that.
