Some porcupines might be a bit more clumsy: Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ohhh yeahhhhh

More relevantly...after reading these messages, I find the premise to be intriguing. Sci-fi themes being explored here and I am curious to learn further.

We hope all the 'porcupines' are using protection. So they can be safe in a collector's box

Now up, I have to say these are very, very plain cards not even gilding. Im starting to feel like room one is more interested in quantity than quality.

As I said in the AC campaign, the number of decks Im going to pick up moving forward without metallic elements on the face is going to be very few and these don't have it.

Btw the first letter at least has spelling errors, the second is posted in a weird way that makes it hard to decode (copying the text picks up invalid characters)....but yes I know how to decode it.

What is the relationship between Room One and Anti-Faro? Is there a reason one entity seems to be split in two?

I believe Anti-Faro and Bloom are separate companies that also use room one as a printer/distributor, and they just get included in the "bonus card" program.

Hello Evilgamer, to be fair, this is not a plain card. There is one main reason for the absence of foil on the cards: they have invisible UV ink (which can be seen with a UV light) to enhance the gaming experience. Additionally, since there are puzzle elements, gilding the cards would prevent them from fitting together perfectly. As for the two letters you mentioned, I believe there is no spelling error, or can you DM me about it

I strongly disagree with the notion of quantity over quality. As a non-native speaker, I have written a 40-page novel for the backers to provide a richer background story and setting. However, I can give you a hint that something you might like is coming from Bloom next month. It will feature multi-colored foil cards, stunning gilding, and transformation cards design.

Im aware of the UV ink, I have the Blackbeard deck (for which Im owed the treasure, sent a second email this moning to CS@ bout correcting the shipping address since something borked and I didnt catch it) where it was used, but only sparsely. I don't think gilding would have fundamentally messed up that map. Its neat but except on say the TWI phantasm deck where its a major part of the deck...its not currently a factor in the decision making process.

I will send you an IM

I do like Blooms work I still probably should pick up the otter deck, the one I dont have (if you had pointed out that ones foil when I ordered the BB treasure I'd have done it then).

In fact, the gilding process caused some complications in the map's production. There are two primary reasons for this. Firstly, our puzzle deck employs a unique technique that does not incorporate a bleeding area. This is because including a bleeding area would result in missing parts between the cards. (It would be much easier to explain if you had an uncut puzzle deck.) Secondly, before gilding, we must use a sander on the edges of the cards to prevent them from being too sharp for handling. (This is why some gilded decks can be uncomfortable to hold.) However, using the sander causes the cards to become slightly smaller than usual, which resulted in the puzzle map not fitting properly.

Nah I understand completely you would have had to shrink the art by exactly that much which would have been a pain in the butt, and then the uncut sheets would have looked bad.

And I can understand there may be variance in the amount removed.

Im just encouraging you to make the decks stand out, not just be some unique art, we have a lot of those decks. The art on the AC decks didn't thrill me but I backed all 4 of them because (ignoring the current state of the games themselves.....) Im a huge fan of that universe. This one isn't knocking my socks off either and as far as I can tell, this is a new IP? not something licensed?

Funded easily. I can see where Evil is coming from when he says plain - the backs in particular. If this is all due to the uv ink you wouldn't think it has to be (thinking of some of my uv decks esp Gio's) but maybe show some exciting uv light shots on KS

Thank you for your understanding. Yes, this is a new original IP created by us.
We have even written a novel for it, which is free to read. Paid members get to read each chapter 3 days before it is released to the public. The physical book also includes the designer's draft.

This is Chapter 1:

Chapter 2 was just posted today:

I appreciate your encouragement. Let's see if the next project meets your expectations.

The design of the Special Editions of Stellar Dread definitely reminds me of that Christmas deck done by Bocoppo way way years ago: The Snowmen Factory. Brings back the good ol times...

Wonder how many chapters the story gotta be... I'd love to read good stories that lasts.
Also, do the courts of each Edition are specific: like AI only containing robots and Virus containing Humans, OR both are shared within the two editions?

3 more decks to go for a complete Season

Yeah, there are 4 editions with a total of 48 different court card designs. They're not just different colors, they're completely different.

Haha so far it’s up to date XD think I can hear wallet screaming, as well as space slowly shrinking 🙃🙃🙃

I am aware that at least one deck from any series would do, but what can I say: the completionist feeling always win over temptation

All started with backing GvK, then Oppenheimer, and you know the rest

Cheaper than being an ARK completionist.

It's funny what motivates people, the thing that keeps bringing me back to "this doesnt give me joy but...." is the puzzle deck which as far as I know they started with Blackbeard.

(though I do think even though I did WIN the BB deck) is that it shouldn't be one wrong guess and youre out.

we're excited to hear that the Blackbeard deck caught your interest! We’ll definitely find a way to combine foil, gilding, and more features in the next puzzle deck. We're committed to keeping things fun and improving with each release.

I want to be clear that Im well aware that not every deck makes sense to have metallic faces...the bloom art decks it might not work very well (but they do gild some of their decks) and I really like their decks. (I did finally order the otter deck I was missing...the gilded one of course :) ). I just felt like Stellar Dread it would have worked...very well.

Jack Brutus very similar decks are the same (though he does have a variant in his current campaign that is VERY metal).

These are certainly different and a very creative offering for all who are into sci-fi.
A huge creator effort and a funding well deserved.
