That does come off that way but it was unintended. It was somewhat sarcastic. I do really enjoy the hobby but I think I have reached a bit of burn out. Bought too many decks too quickly. I have slowed down but still buy quite a lot.

I greatly enjoy when, over the course of a month, I track down one or two nice ones - my early collecting days of too many kickstarters too keep up were fun, but I won’t miss em.

Re: Unity Frankendeck by DripDrop Sounds and ShuffleCut 52
With all due respect, this is just my personal opinion. I believe the team behind Vol. 1 is significantly more renowned than that of Vol. 2. For example, Vol. 1 featured talented creators like Charmie Ong Herman, Lorenzo, Jocu, Jack Penny, Elettra Deganello, Candice and Torres, Marianne Larsen, Ark, and Patrick Zhu.
In contrast, the biggest names I recognize in Vol. 2 are Alex Haines, Randall James Butterfield, Plan52, Lee McKenzie, and Luke Wadey. I plan to back 1 or 2 decks when it launches, but I feel there’s an imbalance between Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Most creators in Vol. 2 have only produced 1 or 2 decks at most. I hope some prominent names from Vol. 1 will return for the TBD positions.

Re: Unity Frankendeck by DripDrop Sounds and ShuffleCut 52
It's okay to give the less prominent artists in the community some recognition and exposure. Another missed opportunity to have unique backs though. Of course, Vol. I will be more revered not only for the makeup of the artists, but also the novelty of it all. Unprecedented achievement.
I personally don't support any of Vincenzo's projects due to his abrasive behavior on UC in years' past, but I'll still back one of these decks. I anticipate we'll see a bunch of variants again.

Re: Unity Frankendeck by DripDrop Sounds and ShuffleCut 52
Well, if Vol 1 was the All Stars, does that make Vol 2 the Rising Stars... somewhat?
I'm all for more artists. It's good to see new talent come in to see what they can do.
As noted, it will be a tough act to follow, given how big the names were and given the sheer scope of the project, as well as the novelty of it all.
That said, is this a backer only thing? Has the first volume been delivered?

I tell you what.

I'll take "rising stars" TYVM although there's defo one or two names on there who are more established in the playing card world
I'm excited to be a part of this project. Dexter seems like a stand-up dude and for my part I promise to deliver a very pleasing Jack of Spades for you all to enjoy. I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of the deck looks like, crazy idea!
Cheers
