I never understood why he left the pre-order based endeavours. Correct me if I’m wrong but Crypt release went smooth; Morésque, …

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
I totally agree, even though I am not and have never been a Patreon member. Most of his decks are extremely beautiful, and no other designer does printing like he does. However, those delays are unacceptable. He should have canceled even for this coming year.Bikefanatic wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 12:27 pm No I will not miss being on the Patreon. He can just release stuff like how he done in the past. Design a deck that's fully ready, let people order and then ship.

It should the craft was a good deck and he’s talking about fixing the dark courts which was my main issue with it and maybe changing the foil color.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
So let me know if I am wrong , the next plan is to fulfill rewards of each year every 3 months so by End of 5th Year Patreon - upto 4 years will be shipped? I am happy as well as a bit scared hopefully Lotrek doesn’t rush anything, I dont mind much delay .Seeing the past records , I will keep faith in Lotrek.

I got 15 days to decide whether to ride it out for one more year. All he mentioned was creating a large foil print of a card back from what I remembered.....

When I don't like something, I pass. No matter who did it, how many were printed or how many (re)colors exist."

Yeah, I'm debating the same problem.Bikefanatic wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 8:53 pm I got 15 days to decide whether to ride it out for one more year. All he mentioned was creating a large foil print of a card back from what I remembered.....
If he hasn't delivered any of the official rewards in 4 years I think the chance of him catching up and delivering all 5 years worth of rewards within the next year is a little optimistic

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
I don't understand the system so maybe someone who does can explain it to me. I understand that there are years worth of rewards undelivered. Is that so? The final year of his patreon is to delivery all rewards owed from previous years and the new final year rewards?

It is unrelated to delivery - it is for a non-deck reward and first dibs on new decks along with standard post reading

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Thank you. My understanding now is that his final year of patreon will have no rewards and whatever rewards are still owed have no relation to his final year. He says he will deliver everything owed regardless or separate from the fact that this is his final year of patreon. I don't think I have any Lotrek cards and I am not a patron but his stuff looks nice and it will be a sad departure from the patreon playing card world as so many people seem to love his decks. There is the matter of his business ethics in question and that can be a bit troublesome or even polarizing. I have had love/hate relationships with card creators and I know what it's like to keep holding on even if I feel like I'm being strung along. There may be no more patreon but it sounds like he will keep making decks in some capacity and that is a silver lining if it's raining out.

Yes, still producing decks otherwise and it was good, or bad depending on your opinion, while it lasted

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
The final year is the same like the previous years and there will be rewards according to your tier. On top there will be an exclusive foiled print as a farewell reward.
When will those rewards be delivered? My educated guestimate is around 2042... -ish...

Haha hopefully sooner. So yes to rewards in the final year. Did Gandalf say there would be no rewards or did I just not understand properly?Harvonsgard wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 12:55 amThe final year is the same like the previous years and there will be rewards according to your tier. Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Looks like you got your word order mixed up, or not . My opinion is that it is sad news because it makes many of his patrons sad.
Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
There will definitely be rewards like years 1-4 for year 5 contrary to the comment further above. I'm not paying $700 a year for a foiled print lol

I was referring to the general populace having both opinions, not yourself.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Lotrek's post says this print is on top of year 5 rewards.
"All Patrons that will be active till the end of this new circle, will receive -in top of their rewards- a large foiled print (29cm X 21cm) of one of our most elaborate back designs"

Yes... Most likely I will drop from the Patreon at this end of the month also.
4 years are enough I think

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
As someone very new to the card hobby this saga fascinates me. I can't think of many other situations where a small business could be years behind on delivering a product yet customers maintain their subscriptions. I probably would have lost hope after two years and canceled. Looks like the faith placed in Lotrek may soon start paying off but in 99% of similar situations the companies never deliver.
