New Grimaud Collection

Unread post by manu »

French Maître Cartier Grimaud is repositioning itself in the luxury playing card market, bolstered by 175 years of excellence in Parisian artisanal printing.
After two years of research and reinvention, Maison Grimaud unveils a new look with the launch of an e-commerce website in July 2024 and an exclusive corner at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche in Paris from October 2024
The first Grimaud collection offers a range of playing cards (Bridge, Patience, Belote and Tarot) and divinatory arts (Tarot de Marseille and Oracle Belline) designed as elevated cultural and design objects. This line is enhanced with a range of customizable high-end accessories, emphasizing craftsmanship and eco-design.

Agreed browns - the prices are the biggest wank I have seen in a long time
How many of these trays should I buy for €360 or $400us? (cards will set you back another €130)

After seeing the prices, I don't think I've ever gone soft that fast before.

The color pallete on that Paris 2024 is amazing, it works so well with the courts. Other edition have the same courts but with more standard colors. Too bad the price is unreachable.

Looks like a brand that only rich people would buy from. This is true luxury imo, where you pay for more for no reason but only because you can.

Olympic set is pretty, but not as pretty as this one they made, which cost me slightly less…

Older is better, and I’m not just saying that because I’m old - that’s just a happy coincidence…

Whoa. Don't see anything that would justify the price.

That would be worth 10% of the price, maybe as high as 50 Euro due to the name brand. Not 250, unless they get Lotrek level foiling details and embossing with Lorenzo designing it.

I did qualify it by stating Lotrek level foiling. Not Lotrek doing it per se. :D
As a patron, I'm all too painfully aware of Lotrek's delays :? :D
