Yep, that has been the attitude at KWP for some time now, the reason why after hundreds of decks and thousands of dollars spent they lost all my business. Each business owner can make their own decision on how to run it of course, but overcharging for shipping when they could just not ship at all to those countries leaves a bad taste.

I'm willing to bet my customer support didn't say,

"well, it could be cheaper, but I can't be bothered to find out."

But either way we have been spending the past two weeks combing through our postage and we will be updated postage rates shortly.

Thank you. Unfortunately, unless postage is significantly cheaper, there's no way I'm able to support you.

From the upcoming Arthurian Tarot deck. He's pretty early in the work for this, so it'll be a bit.

Figures, I stopped watching the weekly updates and he finally talked about something relevant to me. :D

I received my Tigers deck yesterday and it was a pleasant surprise.

Still no "Add to Cart" so maybe 12pm VIP release snapped them all up

All are gone! Very few remained for the public and sold out in the first minutes of going public.

What was the difference between these and the regular tiger decks? Just the blue gilding and tuck? I had it added to cart and contemplated it, but ended up feeling happy to have saved ~$36

Do you mean public or 'VIP public' for as you can see from the time on my last post - I was refreshing the page at 12pm ET (9am my time) But never saw the option for adding to cart

KWP have thoughtfully introduced Delayed shipping for their 12 Days of Christmas
BUT not for Internationals
I have sent them the following message
The 12DAYSDELAY is a great idea BUT why couldn't it be for Internationals too. Please supply a Convincing answer that doesn't say that you basically don't care about us

He has spoken about this before. IIRC, it has something to do with, at least in part, the problem of aggregating all those orders and turning your customs/tariff situation into a nightmare on both sides.

And if I'm misremembering... I blame global warming.

I mean to me that feels quite aggressive. I have had my own issues with KWP in the past, but that is a an email that I as a company representative would find tough to answer. It's a real gotcha. Reality is, they are a business and entitled to make decisions within the scope of their business and not obligated to explain to anyone why.

I get frustrated as well, in some cases I cannot even get someone to ship to me at all because Shopify doesn't handled shipping to my country well and won't do anything about it. At some point it's best to just let it go, or use something like a shipping forwarder service if you really really want it.

Yes, I probably came across a bit strong - it would be better if it could go directly to Jackson, rather than a representative but a representative is chosen/has the role to represent him.
I do hope that you believe in the right to complain Strag. I am also big on praise. Take eating out or simply buying a coffee. If I don't truthfully thank them or tell them what I think of their product before I leave then I have done them a disservice. I can remember about 50 years ago, taking back some Chinese take-away and the counter staff were not receptive - the guy behind me bought in, telling them that he lectured in hospitality and he lectured them LOL that I had given them the opportunity to keep a customer as opposed to me saying nothing and never going there again. I don't know whether it left an impression on the staff but it did on me.

I cannot understand how it is so hard/complicated to delay shipping for 12 days for Internationals too.
You pay for a deck, they put it aside until you purchase others, they invoice you with shipping once you're finished

I find it insulting to say this is for Americans only. It is like - yes you can come into our club but not you
Of course we see it on ebay all the time - small sellers who only want to deal locally but I thought KWP was more professional than that
I remember the Weekly Update that said Delayed Shipping was ending in November (for everybody) due to taxes but here we have it back for some but not others.
I don't understand the tax argument as others do it for me

Alternatively you can pay an American collector to try to do that for you. Not many will have the patience, but you can always ask.

Maybe Adam but I feel I am being priced out of my hobby - the norm in the last month or so seems to be $59au ($37us) to be sent even one deck. Most on this forum turn up their nose at paying anywhere near that for a deck much less having it added on to get it

Where do you live Adam?
I know it means nothing to Americans but I am going to take considerable credit for x-decks finding a better shipping partner for internationals (it is not showing on your checkout yet but YOU WILL GET A REFUND). It would never have happened without my persistence. I have had regular email with Jay and back in June he had no idea that his shipping was uncompetitive. He really cares and has done something about it

I will try to suffer in silence but that is not easy for me :D
