Discord Auction Rules
- This auction is being run by fans and is not affiliated with KWP, which is not responsible for it in any way.
- The auction will begin NOW!!
- The auction will end on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 2 pm ET.
o At that time, any person who had previously submitted a bid will be allowed five minutes to (a) respond that they are done bidding or (b) provide a higher bid than the then current winning bid. If additional bids are received, this time period will extend by two minute increments. No new bidders during the extension periods. Times will be measured as Discord posting times as provided on my end. Once I call the auction closed, that decision is final.
- No anonymous bidding.
- Starting bid is $500. Minimum bid increments of $25 until the reserve is lifted at which time the minimum bid increment will lower to $10 (other bid increments will be ignored).
- Bids shall be placed in a post to this channel (“kwp-auction”) of the Discord by itself as such “Bid: $xxx” where the xxx is the bid amount. Please limit other posts in this channel to only questions/comments about the auction.
- There is a reserve on this auction. If the reserve is not met, the auction will be canceled without a winner. Once the reserve is met, I will post a message stating that the reserve has been lifted. The reserve amount will not be announced prior to it being reached. However, that reserve number has been saved and signed in a dated Adobe Sign PDF such that it can not be changed after the auction starts. The seller of this deck can voluntarily lift the reserve at any time, even if the original reserve price has not been met. This is one of the benefits of using the reserve approach.
- The seller shall remain anonymous, but is a reputable member of the card collecting community.
- Shipping: shipping to the contiguous US states will be included in the auction price. All other winners will be responsible for shipping expenses. Deck will ship in an acrylic Carat Case.
- Payment: the winning bidder shall make payment directly to the seller (who will be identified to the winner) via Paypal in US Dollars within 48 hours of winning (or another time agreed upon by the seller and the winner) with the winner responsible for any Paypal fees associated with payment. If the payment is made by Paypal Friends & Family, the winner assumes all risk and liability for the shipment of the auction winnings. It is noted that this is an auction for a singular item and there are no replacements available. If the payment is made by Paypal Goods & Services (i.e., to take advantage of Paypal’s standard buyers’ protection for whatever that may be), the winner is responsible for paying the corresponding fee.
