I think he's mentioned that there's going to be a V2 as there were too many to fit for V1. But I can't find the FB post.
"As you probably have seen by now , there were many beautiful back designs created and submitted. Unfortunately, I will not be able to maximize in featuring each of them in Volume One. There will be at least 3, of which you’ve seen 2 (The ‘To the Sky’ edition and the ‘Just for fun’ edition) . The 3rd one will be the ‘Only for fun’ edition and will be revealed soon . However, I have every intention to eventually feature other ‘backs’ in other future Volume(s)."
He didn't give many details other than that some of the other back designs might be used. Not sure how that would work given that those backs were designed to go along with its corresponding face.
- campaign description is comically long
- decks look good but I'll probably sit for a bit and decide whether or not I'll back
- leans a bit too much into fomo for my liking especially when this is vol 1 of xxx?
- Holo foil and gilding look nice
- deck names and offerings were confusing at times
- curious if any of the designers will get a cut of the profit or if it's all going to Dexter?

I'm backing for a standard set for now. The holo in the deluxe decks seems unnecessary, and not how the individual cards were designed and the gilding seems unnecessary for this one. I might back off to doing just one deck.
Did I read it? Hmm, I browsed until the page was experiencing problems with scrolling up and down. Idk if that has something to do with the length of it but regardless I did not return to try again. I guess I didn't see it and commented about it? That's probably what happened

You echo my thoughts exactly. I'll see what I end up doing. The holo could've been great if done strategically in certain spots, like how Chris Hage is doing it on Jazz Riff. Using it to cover the entirety of the card takes away from the art.
I may end up getting a standard and premium only to see with my own eyes, how it actually turned out.

Same. I’m definitely backing the deck one way or another but curious to know how the holo versions are being done. If the designers were involved in constructing the foil layers - masking and revealing appropriate to the image - then I’m totally into that. If not, I’ll probably play it safe with standard.

I’m curious which version(s) y’all are picking. I want to get one deck but I’m not really convinced by any of the back designs.
If I had to choose, the "Only for Fun" one would be it for me. I just happen to like both the back and the tuck for that edition.

I don't believe the artists were involved in any of the foiling process — at least it doesn't appear to be that way from all the vids on FB showcasing the holo cards.

Great collaborative idea in general, too much visual chaos for my taste. Also, Nicolai being one of the collaborating artists is an instant pass.
I think the more egregious inclusion is Brad Gabbard. He hasn't sent an update on his 2 most recent kickstarter projects (1 year for C.A.R.D.S. and 9 months for Nightdreams and Daymares) but has time to design a card for this project? He straight up ghosted his backers.

There you go. In the collaboration, you have some amazing, honest, and reputable artists mixed with artists who are comfortable scamming their supporters - truly a Frankenstein deck.
Maybe. In my case, I was thinking more about my personal experience with Nicolai Aarøe, I don't have a horse in the race in terms of Brad Gabbard campaigns, although it does seem like the creator does not take their responsibility for fulfilling the project seriously. It's a very long time to be sorting things out without a single update.
By the way, dragging things out is one of the most common tactics scammers use to get away with their scams. People tend to forget their purchases with time, especially if these purchases are not very big.

I don’t think it’s fair to characterize Brad that way.
Life can surprise you from time to time by pounding you into the ground like a nail - and it can take time to get things sorted out.
Not everyone who ghosts you has the choice in the matter you think they do - and sometimes there are things more important that yesterday.
And yes, I get nice and word salady when uncomfortable - makes it easier to type
I’ve been a big Brad supporter and defender but recently someone posted evidence from Legends that the decks were never produced. It has soured some things for me.
I will not support anything involving Brad even if by chance he manages to eventually deliver. He can't do ks projects that way and still have people take a risk on him or want to help him gain financially in any way. I wish him the best with battling his demons, a fight that only he can win or lose.

He did announce that he was no longer doing KS projects - he is not looking to put people at risk for financial gain and went back to his day job.
That sounds like he is doing better. That is good for him. Thank you

I am currently on the premium set: three decks that are gilded
Figured that this is a frankendeck, the decks prob wont be game friendly, so have them as art deck, and gilding to spice them.

Same here, backed his Nightdreams & Daymares and never fulfilled.
there's another creators that I will never support Hoa Phan & Thành Phana
"For this variation, the back of the cards will have the holo effect but the front will not . This will also be a gilded version and I will be sharing that too. Second, I thought of this quite long to try to make this logistically work, but I really wanted to finally feature all of the other submitted ‘backs’ that the designers worked very hard on. So this Frozen deck will now feature all 18 backs. It will include 3 each of their backs . So 18 different backs multiplied by 3 equals 54 cards, and we’ll keep the 55th and 56th cards the same."
Costs $35 USD plus shipping. I'm not sure how I feel about this edition.

This new version is close to what I want, if only they made a basic version without the holo and gilding. This now makes 10 different editions of this deck, which is faaaaar more than I expected as this project was taking shape.

The best looking tuck by far
Keep in mind this is a rendering designed to look good. Looks like there's now 10 versions to get in this project? And then it's also being referred to as Volume One. I'm now thinking one standard and one premium version for me. Maybe this blue one too?
