These are actually very well done. 3 different decks showing the 3 ages of Egypt. Art is nice. Great if you're into Egyptian history. However, no budget for cards left in Aug. Probably pick these up later from PCD.

I had just pledged an Egyptian deck and so it makes it hard for me to entice myself to pledge for these, even though I likely would've if the previous project didn't come first.

I would love to pick these up... but I know these will be available long after Kickstarter, so I guaranteed that I can wait.
And Eric's right - this month is just SO MANY projects, so these can wait

Re: Chronicles Series: Egypt by PlayingCardDecks.com [KS]
Hi everyone. I started working on these decks in December 2023, it was a lot of work. Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict when someone else will release a similar theme. Yes, I know - the Egyptian theme comes up often, but I always dreamed of doing it.
The decks are authentic, just collecting materials for work took me almost two months. Each element, ornament or object has its reference in Egyptian history. Of course, the faces are my own vision.

Re: Chronicles Series: Egypt by PlayingCardDecks.com [KS]
Received mine: these decks are alright, these can be suckers for those who love Egyptian history, like me
Unfortunately, my only grudge is that there is no Tuthankhamun, who is the MOST famous pharaoh of all time, and no Queen Cleopatra, who is very important on the turning point for the Egyptians (just realized too late)

Re: Chronicles Series: Egypt by PlayingCardDecks.com [KS]
Tuthankhamun is the most famous pharaoh of Egypt, but only from today's point of view. He is known because of the wonderful cultural monuments that have been preserved after him. However, he did not have much significance for his era. I could not give Tuthankhamun as a pharaoh to this deck and omit Tutmosis III, Seti I, Ramesses II or Akhenaten, thanks to whom the New Kingdom of Egypt developed so much.laitostarr777 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 12:42 am Unfortunately, my only grudge is that there is no Tuthankhamun, who is the MOST famous pharaoh of all time, and no Queen Cleopatra, who is very important on the turning point for the Egyptians (just realized too late)
Adding Cleopatra was not taken into account at all, because Cleopatra is the Hellenic Period of Egypt, which was not taken into account because we only had 3 decks. To develop the full history of Egypt, 8 decks would be needed, adding:
1. Predynastic Period,
2. I Intermediate Period,
3. II Intermediate Period,
4. III Intermediate Period and
5. Hellenic Period
