KS Update:
The cards were printed by Cartamundi at the Fournier factory in Spain. Cartamundi have printed a lot of the cards I have made, starting with Viceroys (early 2017). You may or may not be aware, Cartamundi moved some aspects of playing card production from Belgium to Spain in recent months. I can't really comment on everything they can or can't do now in Spain compared to a year ago in Belgium. But they have been able to print these cards for me in Spain to the described specs. The specs are basically similar to the Inglewood cards they printed for me in Belgium last September, the difference being that they have a smooth finish rather than linen. Over the years I have been making playing cards, I have spent a lot of time researching printing companies who are able to produce shorter print runs of nice cards: well printed, on good cardstock, with a nice finish, for realistic prices, without messing up. Finding companies who are able to do this is not necessarily an easy task. With longer print runs things get significantly easier in some senses, but there are of course other difficulties associated with that. I did look into printing at Fournier a few years ago when Fournier was already owned by USPCC, but before the Cartamundi takeover of USPCC. It wasn't possible or feasible then, but now almost by mistake it has happened.

I think Ian could have sold more by releasing this info before the campaign finished.
I am looking forward to receiving my few

Considering that they've stopped printing custom cards altogether and never were able to ship anything from that facility, that update makes zero sense.

It might make sense. I think one of the major issues was that the machine that makes the linin impresssions (roller?) wasn't working properly and they were going to manufacture a new one. Then they just decided to get out of custom cards. I guess they are still making some types of cards. Ian does use smooth cards. Maybe that is the difference. It isn't my favorite card stock TBH. I still love his designs though.

Mine arrived today. Very happy with how they turned out. The handling is better than I expected—they fan pretty well for a smooth finish, and spring, shuffle and faro no problem.

Thanks manu, now I am super excited for my decks to arrive. Is that sharp cornered KoD an extra?
