They friended and dm'd me on Instagram to spam their ks. They made a ton of reddit posts in the last week about this. Super slimy and spammy people

I'm sure they mean well, but it did feel a bit spammy. I got the same message.

The tuck looks to be gold on black while the backs appear to be white on black - this loses any art deco feel IMO

Also the name of the deck itself is not grammatically correct, unless they are inferring that this deck of cards is owned by the 1920s.
You can say 20s, or '20s. 20's is a completely incorrect usage.

I was thinking about backing this one, but I have the same feeling here - spam on instagram, spam on facebook, spam on reddit - annoying, not backing.

Good pick up
If they had been made in the 1920s they may have been able to put 20's but they would have probably had to have been the only deck of the 20s for this to be acceptable
The reason I say that is that it is correct to write "the 1920's economy"

Hi Strag,
No it’s not incorrect, just old-fashioned. The use of an apostrophe in phrases like “the 20’s” to denote a decade was more common in English until the mid-20th century. This style was primarily used in the early to mid-1900s. By the late 20th century, the convention shifted towards omitting the apostrophe, and it became standard to write “the 20s” instead.
The change in style reflects a broader trend in English towards simplifying punctuation and standardizing the way dates and decades are written.
We chose to use “20’s” with an apostrophe for our playing cards to evoke the 1920s era and enhance their authenticity and historical atmosphere. The apostrophe was commonly used back then to denote decades, adding a touch of nostalgia and staying true to the period.

Hi,
We are quite new in the business of Reddit as we are French guys we don’t know a lot this network here. We used to post a lot on French facebook groups without the feeling of being too spammy, but I understand that we did post too much on Reddit.
We communicate less now on Reddit and have deleted our previous posts. Sorry for the DM also if it was disturbing for you, we just wanted to spread the word as it is project we work a lot on it, and we thought it could be worth checking it out.
Have a great day ahead

Thanks for the feedback. In fact we thought to keep the gold aspect on black but it was not contrasting a lot. It works with the tuckcase because it’s foiled.
When we saw the black mint or the bitcoin deck, we thought it was perfect to do white on black also. And I can confirm, now that I have the proto : it’s super classy.

Our apologies
We’re new to the card business and may have been a bit overzealous with our communication. Sorry about that! We’ll work on improving it.
