Are there any updates on the Crypt follow-up deck? Is it going to be Codex? A friend of mine gifted me the Crypt recently and it is amazing. It is definitely in the top 5 of all decks I own.

Lotrek mentioned on IG iirc that there he is going to release a Crypt V2 and this time it wont be that secretive

I was watching his part in Deckin' Around 24 Hour Extravaganza from back in 2021 and he is very slightly covering that he is working on the follow-up deck of Crypt and yes as Zlexander mentioned we will be able to see it and share it. I know already over 2 years passed but I was thinking maybe Codex is the follow-up deck Here is the link. Very funny to watch.

There's a recent Patreon post about a mystery deck. That might be the Crypt follow-up but we don't know for sure. Codex is definitely not the Crypt follow-up deck because he mentions in the video that pictures would be allowed of the deck once received, but that it would be sight unseen until it arrives to you. We have been privy to Codex artwork.

Lotrek's private collection tends to be unnumbered copies. Some of the decks, he doesn't even have copies of. These were sold by a collector who doesn't actively collect anymore.

From my impressions of Lotrek's comments in the past, he recognizes collectors can be crazy in their own ways like this, just as he is crazy in his.

Surely it must be a curse because there was at least another person willing to buy for at least close to that amount. (And probably the numbers where extremely inviting)

Yeah, he ended up selling everything and left collecting altogether. One can only speculate.

I think it's the nature of these items going up for auction versus a private sale. At least you're not alone in your craziness.

On the contrary I can say the seller has quite the luck , Ive seen every time getting sold at nearly top dollar /top dollar/more than top dollar . Now I don’t even participate much due to loosing constantly and also the end time is quite late at night for me (4:00 am +- approx) , doesn’t feel good to stay awake and lose last minute

I find them funny if you look at them as a story from right to left. The Lotrek joker is singing and then is shocked in the next scene when the mule starts to sing The joker could also be representing Lotrek, himself...at least that's my overall interpretation.
