Re: New KS Deck - Compass
Countless hours of design???? Can we see anything other than the box, back and ace? Or are those the only custom elements?

Re: New KS Deck - Compass
The across the board $8 international shipping makes the 1 deck early bird not worth it.
Not to mention the horrible color scheme.
And why do they make it such a big deal that the artist is 15 years old? How is that a good thing?

Re: New KS Deck - Compass
The cards that were show look pretty nice but I'd have to see the rest of the cards before I pledge.
Re: New KS Deck - Compass
Yeah, I'm not to thrilled with the design... it looks like someone just learned to use Photoshop and said "I can do a deck too". Sorry if that's a bit harsh, but if you want my pledge, it's got to be something unique...

Right now, not interested in the design or the high Int'l shipping costs for 2 decks (my normal preference). Pass.
Re: New KS Deck - Compass
They look pretty nice but with so many decks coming out, I'm going to pass.

I agree that these are similar to the A. Bandit. In my humble opinion the A. Bandit is one of the finer decks I own. Handles great, not pretentious. It is good to see a young man develope these but as with others, I am going to pass on these.

Re: New KS Deck - Compass
After seeing the court cards I had to back out of pledging this deck.
the quality of the artwork on the cards is worse than that of the Black tie deck.;
it is a shame I actually really liked the reworked card back and the ace of spades.

I still dont get how the designer is a 15 years old kid is a selling point.

It's not apparently.twiscold wrote:I still dont get how the designer is a 15 years old kid is a selling point.

Side rant... What's with people saying 'we' like they are a legit business or company when it is just a kid in their bedroom at mom and dad's house? I notice that a lot, everywhere. Kickstarter actually works better if you don't try and fluff up your campaign with all this talk of the future and business plans, people want to fund a person who cares about this project.

It isn't a selling point. It is an excusable point.twiscold wrote:I still dont get how the designer is a 15 years old kid is a selling point.
From the other hand we all should start from something (it doesn't mean this start will be paid). You can't deny that this child has some imagination. I wish him good luck and further development.
