Color changes are one thing, but the whole "these were never supposed to be released to the public/from this dude's personal stash" line is getting pretty old now too.

FULL OVERVIEW

Watch every move very, very carefully.
This is a lifetime of information, acquired the hard way.

Mechanic is taught by a man who walked a fine line between death and payday every time he picked up a deck of cards. When each move could be the difference between a five thousand dollar pot and smashed-in knee caps, you get pretty good at recognising and using techniques proven to work, and remain undiscovered.

All Orders made for Mechanic before July 31st will receive 1 of just 2500 never-to-be-sold Scarlet Rounders from Daniel Madison's personal collection.

Black Club Members will receive Two Decks with the FIRST 100 orders receiving a SIGNED Scarlet Deck.

This DVD set is a unique treatise on the techniques used by Daniel Madison to put food on his table for years, as a professional card cheat caught up in the underground circles of London's criminal underbelly.

Every day and every dollar made it harder to get out of the racket he fell into - until a simple slip at the table took the decision out of his hands - and nearly cost him his life.

In the weeks in hospital it took him to recover, Madison made the conscious decision to shift from card mechanic to Deception Artist. Now a reformed card cheat, Daniel meticulously teaches the handling, dexterity and psychology of deception with playing cards, step by step.

Over three hours of invaluable advice, theory and method taught by a man in the unique position to have lived the life, each move seized from the cold school of experience.

Daniel learnt the hard way so you don't have to. Add Mechanic to your cart NOW and learn from his experience.

Disclaimer: This is not a DVD on Card Tricks. This is detailed teaching of the actual skills used to illegally and unethically win money in illicit card games through the use of cheating. As study of this material has the potential to turn you into a successful card cheat, we must ask that any use of these techniques at the card table be for entertainment purposes only. Neither Daniel Madison nor Ellusionist can be held responsible for the consequences of cheating or unlawful gambling.

Seems like a really good deal as long as the DVD isn't super expensive.

This actually doesn't seem too bad of a deal, if you're into that sort of thing. If you wanna learn some good card slights, this looks like a good place to start- and get a "free" deck. I just hope they don't rape you with shipping.
On another note, E should do part-time work hyping things. If I ever need anything hyped, I would hire them. I bet they're the ones who sold Jack his beans.

$60 is the SALE price - "regularly" $80.
I dunno - I like the subject matter, but I just don't like Madison. It feels like getting lessons from the Ed Norton character in "Rounders".
Passing for now - looking forwards to the reviews (considering at least 100 copies sold to BC members, there should be some posted soon enough....)

That was my understanding as well, all a presale that won't ship until the end of July. I'm still not positive if I want to plunk down the money to help fund a former con's pockets (if one's to believe the back story) though learning the tricks of the trade would be pretty cool.

Yeah it is a presale that will ship at the end of the month, if you buy it before then you get one of Madison's Red Rounders as a gift. A deck that will never be sold to the public.... oooooo ahhhhh special

Looking at E website now and it looks like the Red Rounders will be sold for $50 a deck... although when you click on that there is no "Add to cart " button

That's why I don't jump on their initial offerings. E is famous for this kind of stuff. I like E's products, the LTD is still my favorite deck but I don't care for their misleading marketing. Perhaps the DVD didn't sell as well as they hoped or perhaps they planned this all along. Either way, I have no problem passing on this deck.
