Anyone else get a delay from USPS from deck orders shipped in the US? According to the tracking number I was given, my package seems to be on hold since March 7th waiting for USPS pick-up. I'm getting concerned.

I got my tracking email 5 days ago. I just checked my tracking number and it says the following. So who knows where it is.

On Its Way to USPS
Picked Up By Shipping Partner, USPS Awaiting Item
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX 75050

Shipping Partner: OSM WORLDWIDE

Its in Grand Prairie Texas at an OSM warehouse.

OSM is a freight consolidator That means they don't move anything until they have a full truck to send there.

I really wish GW didnt use them, but they do. Anything shipping through them takes about 10-14 days to get to me on the east coast.

Yes, I confirm that 100% of the US parcels currently have this status. I have asked Gamblers and am waiting for their response. International parcels now have at least 5 check-ins. We have one delivery in Australia (sent from NZ).

Nope this happens about 95% of the time when GW ships something with OSM.

They have it and are sitting on it, neither GW Or the USPS have it.

GW responded: "They should be showing movement by today at the latest."

P.S. Yes, anything that takes more than 1 day from pickup to delivery is considered a delay, as I'm used to this in NZ, where all my parcels are delivered by courier within one, maximum two days, even in rural areas.

Received my Treasury deck yesterday.

I love it. Those aces especially. Also pleased at how well they handled - a bonus considering it was a mystery printer.

Thank you for your mini-review! One small correction - this deck is not a limited edition, but the number of decks we offered this time was limited due to possible customs issues, shipping costs, etc. As I mentioned before, it was not about making money but about making them available for collectors.

Fair enough, but I think you'll agree that the US is just a wee bit bigger, geographically, than NZ.

That doesn't mean that the shippers GW use aren't *a lot* slower than I'd prefer. But, still. Two-to-three days is more common in the US, and for a country this size, I think that's not entirely unreasonable.

@rousselle Of course, it was ironic considering my typical expectations for fulfillment. It's always better to receive everything on time, but it doesn't always happen. GW should use OSM to make prices more affordable as they still charge extra for their services. So, there are no perfect options.

My reaction to this: wow Europe is tinier than I thought, also wow the US is gigantic. Now I'm even more envious of European travel cross-country.

I'm really shocked about NZ overlayed on Europe.

I love Montenzi's overlays but don't be deceived kev
New Zealand is a little smaller than Germany
and only half the size of France
You can fit about 40 NZ's in Europe
Europe is slightly bigger than the USA

Yes, everything is correct! New Zealand is long and narrow.

Good resources to play with: https://www.thetruesize.com and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_c ... es_by_area

update: this one is great: https://www.artlebedev.com/susha/

Checked the size using another method (2000 km by road vs. Europe vs.USA) :D

As someone from the UK who’s only travelled within Europe, I’m always amazed at how vast the USA seems.

It almost feels like each state is like its own country 😂

Texas would take that as a statement of fact and most of us think about California that way.

I guess that was the idea? They were separate countries united together. :D They have their own laws within each state, and only governed by a federal law as a whole.

As a Californian, I'm realizing my perspective of the world is quite skewed; when it takes an hour to go a few miles sometimes, and you can drive 14 hours and still be in the same state.

well yeah you're still stuck in LA traffic after 14 hours :)

The US does have some pretty large states, I just checked, it says at interstate speeds it would still take 6 hours to cross mine.

As someone who's spent over a year backpacking around the US when I was in my 20s, I can confirm the US is incredibly vast and varied. The climates, terrain, and cultures can be so different.

Texas and California are certainly big but overall for a country that is only 20% bigger than Australia you have a LOT of states and therefore to an Aussie, your big states are just the norm

True (I only used Texas and California as they had been mentioned)
Alaska is over 17% of the USA, and pretty much the difference between Australia and the US

ps On the website that Monte linked us - Alaska looks like 50% of the rest of America
