not really. im sure i would be banned lol. generally, im not an a hole on purpose to anyone and generally do not make personal attacks but i am also going to be honest, and truthful to the best of my knowledge, and give an honest review/statement/opinion on whatever the topic is. that isnt welcome everywhere. censorship and caring more about others feelings instead of being honest or truthful is all the rage these days. not everything has to be said in a ''postive vibes'' way or in a way to make someone else feel good. i understand to not be a jerk on purpose too. im not always successful.

if we had to move to a forum like that i would make the best of it but i feel like even a toned down version of my posts would be too much for some. in the end, it isnt always how something is said, some folks just dont like what you have to say and would rather make sure you dont get a chance to say it. they dont want to hear anything different than what they believe. its all about tolerance until they dont like your opinion or the truth. tolerance as long as you agree with them.

anyway, i hope UC doesnt have an issue staying open. its been nice here for over 5 years that i have been here. i hope that if there is a problem that there is at least a heads up and perhaps some options given to do some donations or something. no idea what the costs are to keep the forums open.

Well Pip/Tuck is setup and running well using the identical software, so that'd be an easy move over if needed.

checked it out last week, seems ok enough. it appears that they have only been going since novemeber so i cant really fault them but it doesnt seem very frequented. i also got the impression from one of the jocu posts that it is pretty touchy feely over there and would likely have a heavy moderation hand. right up some of y'alls alley.

Playing cards cards can be delayed for any number of reasons, many times for reasons that have nothing to do with the creator: shipping, printing, etc. There are many moving parts and quite often it's out of the hands of the creator.

Here's my problem -

Keeping a website up is very much in the hands of the owner and a very easy problem to fix. The fact that Alex has not done this tells me there is a much bigger disconnect than the delay on these cards. All he has to do is pay the bill. So it begs the question, "why hasn't he?" It's easy enough to do so what's the problem? Keeping P52 up is easily within his control, yet he chooses not to fix it. And if he's avoiding or ignoring something so simple (unless these is something seriously wrong with him) then what hope do any of us have that he will deliver on these cards?

The biggest thing for me is the complete breakdown in communication. In this day and age, internet access is worldwide and available to everyone regardless of financial circumstances. And with Limbo recently being delivered, he's clearly able to. He just chooses not to. There's just really no excuse for that.

I was hopeful when Nazo Nazo and Limbo got sent out but I am losing hope with Blind Tiger. Last September he mentioned he was very close to shipping Blind Tiger and was planning on doing it in the next month. To not hear anything since and to have P52 be down for so long, makes me think it might be over. I hope I see my 2 sets but I do not think I will.

Obviously, I hope he is well or if not gets better but $500 is a lot of money to be out. This and so many KS projects not coming through has really put a damper on my enthusiasm for this hobby. I have cut back drastically already on my KS backing. I need to steel myself and add up how much money I have lost.

I have a couple of different emails for him. I sent an email to one of them last week and did not get a reply, so I sent an email to his other email address just now. I suspect I won't hear anything back. I also see he has not been active on UC since Wed Nov 09, 2022.

If P52 is dead, I wonder if it is possible to at least get the database from him and hand it off to manu for his project.

Several of us are reaching out to Alex in good faith, and hopefully we will find him before too long. When we do, we'll be asking him about this project and P52 as well as some other topics. The fact that the lights are still on here provides reason to believe that we'll reconnect with him again before *too* much longer.

It appears to have been related to a technical issue. But it also still shows a huge disconnect when the owner of a website is unaware or doesn't care that his site is down for over a month. If you ask me, the reason for the site being down is irrelevant. It simply shows Alex's absence in the playing card community.

The fact that the website required just a simple reset shows to me that Alex is completely incommunicado. I don't understand how that's possible in this day and age ( nor do I understand how Limbo shipped if that's the case) but that's what seems to be going on. When this first started it was because of a family issue that required him to go back to China. I don't recall if he mentioned it being medical or legal, but perhaps that's the issue again and either the region or circumstances result in no Internet access.

They have been stopped. There was no NPCCD deck last year.

I shall wait until the silence is broken in any case so I know what I am blessing or damning, but I think it is up to the individual future customer to determine if they desire NPCCD decks from Seasons, should they be produced.
