Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
The inevitable extra long wait for my rewards wasn’t worth it to me if I didn’t get the free deck. I knew it would take WAY longer to reprint than he was letting on. I also am a stickler for following through with one’s word, and this felt like a bait and switch to me. I don’t think it was intentional at all, but I was definitely not happy about it.Adamthinks wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 12:47 pm Why would you have voted against it? You wouldn't have had a chance to get it at all then.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
I was happy to have the opportunity get the deck, don’t get me wrong. I just felt misled, though I am certain it was unintentional. I would not have voted to delay my rewards further had I known that I would have only been given the opportunity to purchase this deck in return for my patience. I think had there not been a reprint, we all still would have likely had a shot to purchase any leftover stockGandalfPC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 1:05 pmForgot about that one - no, did not get it free, but it was a print of the patron year 1 reward so I was pretty happy to have access to buy itCourtCurator wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:50 am Did you get Redemption VI for free as a year 2 Patron? I'm with CourtCurator on this one about the bait and switch feeling as he did write the green text above. I thought I'd get a free deck too but wasn't the case. Not that I was super invested in getting a free deck though but it was just a bummer feeling.CourtCurator wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:50 am

When we voted on whether or not to reprint the Patrons deck he stated “In case of a reprint, we will send immediately (before the rewards) one deck to every past and active Patron as a REDEMPTION Story deck FOR FREE.” Then, after the reprint was voted on, he stated that “all PATRONS who are waiting for rewards from the 1st year will get 1 copy of the deck for free!” I voted to reprint thinking I would get a free deck as a year two patron with a reward tier, but ended up having to pay for the deck I thought would be free. Had I known this would be the case, I would have voted against the reprint.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
If I get anything for free, I classify it as a gift. The fact that he does this due to his delays in getting out is Patron decks still falls in my gift category. I can't think of any other creator that has done anything close. Could he consider extending this to year 2 at this point? I guess that is up to Lotrek. I am a first year patron and I am already up to like my 7th "free" deck. I knew Lotrek well when I became a Patron, so my eyes at least were wide open. I knew what I was signing up for. I have my Patron's Redemption VI deck open and love it.

I just got an email too and it looks like Lotrek printed a label. I'd rather him not have the burdens of shipping but he is more meticulous than GW lately...and with Deallez having a backlog, I'm glad he took care of this shipment himself. I stuck with just 3, but I may buy more depending on how I feel when I have these in hand, especially with those fun jokers. Excited to see what he tried!

I'm curious as to what you think of these. I ended up passing on them as the stock is low qualityish and I don't like the courts. I'm curious to see if any of the attempted embossing for the cards shows up or indeed it just an intricate gold foiled back as he said.kevork wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 5:14 pmI just got an email too and it looks like Lotrek printed a label. Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Does appear that all patreons should have access to buy regardless of status:
Who is eligible for the gift deck? -All ACTIVE PATRONS at a REWARD TIER who have completed at least 1 full year.
Who can buy the deck? -ALL patrons, regardless of tier and date of subscription.

If you're a Patron past or present and you didn't get the code, send me a PM. The e-mails don't always seem to get through.

So it should be free even for former patrons? I am on the same boat - I was patron for year 2 and 3, but I didn't get any code and post are not public so I cannot see them

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
The code to which I referred is for access to the Patron section of the site. My understanding is that at the very least, you should be able to buy one as a former "higher tier" patron. As to whether you'd also be eligible for a free one, I'm not sure. It's late here in the Pacific Time Zone. I'll re-read the post tomorrow.slickster wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 6:57 amSo it should be free even for former patrons? Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Thanks, I appreciate that! From the public post it seems that "all patrons eligible for a free deck (meaning patrons who have completed at least a whole year) should get one for free" so that would be nice. But if not, no hard feelings, I still hope that we will get, at least, those "regular" rewards soon. If we can even use "soon" in connection with Lotrek heherousselle wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 7:21 amThe code to which I referred is for access to the Patron section of the site. I would reach out to Lotrek and ask to confirm, otherwise sharing a code defeats the purpose of Patreon.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Imagine Lotrek having to run a sepparate ex-Patreon mailing list.
I don't.
And as an ex supporter I did not get any way of participating in these decks despite these decks being made available to active and past full year supporters.
So neither does Lotrek.
Now what?

I've been asked to be less offensive on the boards so, I can just write that this patreon divers very, very much from the services and convinience other patreon creators have made me being used to. Very unfortunate that this very much tainted my appreciation for Lotrék's otherwise incredible decks. Maybe when I'm retired from working, I have enough time to care for his patreon again.

Nah, apologies for being misunderstandable there. I was referring to others, not the mods.
There was just one time way in the past where MagickFingerz - rightfully I wanna add - contacted me due to something I've posted.

Mystery I - when will Year 1 Patrons receive their decks?
Mystery II - when will Year 2 Patrons receive their decks?
Mystery III- when will Year 3 Patrons receive their decks?
Likely sitting this out if it’s a pre-sale of some type like Silk…

Which one was that? From what I recall, we had Arabesque, Damask, and Crypt. But that would make this one Mystery IV, so I'm likely incorrect.Harvonsgard wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 6:47 pm Since the last mystery deck was disappointing to me, I'll most likely sit this one out.
Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Hard pass. Until at least year 1 rewards will arrive to patrons, I am not giving Lotrek any more money. Making other decks to sell while patrons are waiting for more than 3 years is disrespectful.
