Once again, no idea what's going on. You said you would post about Redemption VII "tomorrow" 4 days ago. Your post on Jan 7 that we would have to place a zero order next week (so 2 weeks ago?). Did I miss it? Do you intentionally make it so confusing? these aren't even printing delays, these are just confusion communication delays.
Just a note that he replied to this comment with the following:
The problem is that I am in charge of many things that are related to the production and these are very often unpredictable, without meaning that there are necessarily problems or other serious issues. Therefore, I seldom can be accurate because I have to deal with at least 4 different printers/providers of services and stuff. Hopefully at least he sticks to that.

Well we just got a huge update. Since I know some are no longer Patrons, I'm going to share what was posted pertinent to them:
So, the rewards that are to come for the 1st Year:

Silver Patrons: 2 Royal Silk RED plus the gift deck: Royal Silk Red with Gold and Silver foil.
Golden Patrons: 2 Royal Silk RED plus the gift deck as above. Plus, 2 PATRONS decks (the deck we're currently re-printing).
Manic Patrons: 4 Royal Silk RED plus the gift deck as above. Plus, 4 PATRONS decks.
Asylum Patrons: 6 Royal Silk RED plus the gift deck as above. Plus, 6 PATRONS decks.
All rewards will come in the custom boxes of 2, 4, 8 and 12 decks.

The rewards that are to come for the 2nd Year:

Silver Patrons: 2 Golden Rule Patrons ed. plus a gift deck (to be decided)
Golden Patrons: 2 Golden Rule Patrons ed. plus the gift deck as above. Plus, 2 ROYAL PATRONS decks (A full foil version of the Patrons Playing cards).
Manic Patrons: 4 Golden Rule Patrons ed. plus the gift deck as above. Plus, 4 ROYAL PATRONS decks
Asylum Patrons: 6 Golden Rule Patrons ed. plus the gift deck as above. Plus, 6 ROYAL PATRONS decks
All rewards will come in the custom boxes of 2, 4, 8 and 12 decks.

I think what he is saying is that he has a to use a number of different vendors to different tasks to ultimately make each deck. Each one has their own scheduling and other challenges, and that doesn't even take into account sourcing stuff like paper, ink and foil. All of that I think makes his ability to time completion hard.

I am not making excuses. I am just trying to interpret. However, he is right that because he has so many moving parts and he is a two person group it is a challenge. Still, Year One rewards Lotrek. Focus.

What I will add to this conversation is that Lotrek has been clear, on multiple occasions, on what the rewards each year is entitled to, particularly for Years 1 and 2. I've pasted it into this thread as an answer multiple times as well.

In 2023, the following were released (see below), of which the Redemption decks were FREE for those who had rewards due for them from Year 1 and 2. Seven decks. That's in line with what people would typically get from a Patreon package from other producers, like Lorenzo. For Lorenzo, we got 8 decks released, of which 4 of them were the same as the public variant, just with a Patreon numbered sticker on them. This isn't putting Lorenzo down at all, but more so giving perspective on what Year 3 really looked like for Lotrek patrons. I can't imagine the pressures of trying to live up to the previous treasured releases Lotrek has put out, which to this day can fetch astronomical amounts as we have come to witness. His high standards are both a curse and a blessing with that in mind. The one critique I do have is that we don't know what the other Year 3 reward is despite going into Year 4 already, but I'm hoping that will be unveiled soon. We're also receiving ANOTHER gift deck on top of the Redemption VII & Redemption VIII decks coming out. He had planned to stop the Redemption series at number six, but the patron rewards continued to be delayed, so he's still cranking those out while he continues production.
Hot foil printing on playing card stock sounds like a pain in the ass when it's a one to two person job. Lotrek is in a tough spot because his reasonings can only quell people for so long once bitterness sets in on the consumer end, so being completely honest can put him in the victim role, which can further anger some. If he communicates, he's faulted if the timelines shift. If he doesn't communicate, he's faulted for lack of communication. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Overall, I see him trying and there's glimmers of hope.

Aside from The Golden Rule and Royal Patrons, what should year 2 patrons receive? Because I've received exactly squat.

Did you cancel after Year 2? From my understanding, you would place on order on his website for a "gift" deck and get a Redemption deck for free if you were eligible. I believe at some point he clarified it was for active patrons, but I'd have to look back and see if it applied to those who had cancelled as well.

I was hoping for some clarification here. I totally hear what you are saying about damned if you do and damned if you don’t but the truth is, there’s only one course of action which is to produce the decks furthest delayed as quickly as possible and to pause any new decks or patreons to prevent further delays. That’s how I see it at least.

That being said, your list has one actual release deck Royal Silk Purple. Everything else is a players edition (no frills and easy to print) or a “test” version which was done in huge quantities for some reason I don’t know. Redemption maybe?

I think what people want is a focus on what’s been paid for, fulfill that and then continue moving forward with clear outlines of what people are getting (year 3) and ongoing communication.

I do agree prioritizing the earliest Patreon rewards is important, if not paramount. I also don't think that necessarily means pausing production on other decks if they don't get in the way.

It seems his foiling is done with a different printer with a different queue that may not necessarily coincide/conflict with the work he does on other projects. Then comes the trial and error of the foiling process.

I'm with you on focusing on what's been paid for. When that process requires waiting on his end (for printing, etc.), I don't blame him for wanting to produce other decks and avoid twiddling his thumbs.

Spot on. I couldn't care less about the redemption decks. Nice freebies and all but when I order a Patek you can gift me as much Cartiers as you want, I still just care for the Patek.
To add some more perspective. To get the free decks I have to place orders and stay on top of releases. With other patreons I pay, twiddle my thumbs and/or care about a very important thing like my afk life and then get a nice parcel full of great stuff. Cards without bends and imprints for example.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

That’s a massive schedule to deliver on considering the last three years. Let’s see how it plays out.

Question for everyone. Does Lotrek typically release Patrons editions of his decks on his website to the public, not for Patreon members? I am curious if The Golden Rule Patrons Edition will be offered on his website one day to the public.

No Patreon exclusive decks are strictly limited to Patreon members otherwise you would’ve seen the Redemption decks also being released for Non Patreons.

Since Golden Rule was a Patreon yearly reward, Lotrek would know exactly what the print run would be, accounting for a few extras for lost shipments and/or damages. On top of that, it would contradict one of the purposes of his Patreon if he were to offer them to the public. I'd wager he'd offer any extra decks, at a potentially increased price, to active Patrons instead.

Are all redemption decks free only for year 1 patreons? I tried to ask the question for redemption VII and lotrek just liked my response. I appreciate the notification that he read/saw it but that did not answer my question haha. This is a very confusing patreon to be part of...

Did you get Redemption VI for free as a year 2 Patron? I have to admit, I was a bit peeved about that one.

When we voted on whether or not to reprint the Patrons deck he stated “In case of a reprint, we will send immediately (before the rewards) one deck to every past and active Patron as a REDEMPTION Story deck FOR FREE.” Then, after the reprint was voted on, he stated that “all PATRONS who are waiting for rewards from the 1st year will get 1 copy of the deck for free!” I voted to reprint thinking I would get a free deck as a year two patron with a reward tier, but ended up having to pay for the deck I thought would be free. Had I known this would be the case, I would have voted against the reprint.

No Vol VI was not free for Y2 , but Y2 had the access to buy them . Free only for Y1. Also why would you vote against reprint incase you aren’t a Y1 patron if I may ask ? I didn’t vote anything as Im not Y1 Patron so I don’t have any opinion what Lotrek and Y1 Patrons decide to do and even if I had to vote , voting for reprint would’ve been my choice as after paying that much money per deck I would expect a deck with as minimal flaws as possible .

Why would you have voted against it? You wouldn't have had a chance to get it at all then.
