New tiers open to the public on Monday 12/18 at 8:15 Japan time. Not sure where you live, for me on East Coast it ends up being Sunday at 6pm. He opened the slots for current patrons a week early for anyone that wanted to upgrade but slots are still available. The previous $25 a month tier that includes physical gifts at years end is no longer limited to 20. The next tier up at $35 a month is limited to 20 slots and then there are 2 other tiers limited to just 1 each. Also Jack is an amazingly kind person so if anyone ever had any questions I highly suggest reaching out to him directly.

For those interested, the tiers are open. This years rewards were fantastic and that speaks nothing of the posts, thoughtfulness of Jack’s contributions each and every week and our ability to help guide and provide input on future decisions.

If you are a fan, I would recommend hoping on board.

A custom carat case and one of the prototypes for the upcoming Tails of Mischief campaign. There might be other goodies but that’s the highlight.

That's neat, but for an extra $260 for the year, that's not nearly enough for me to up my patreon level.

He had specified when that tier initially opened that he may not be able to guarantee any physical goods for the first year of his Patreon. We knew what we were signing up for and ended up having something to show for it. I'll be a "Fellow Pioneer" for this year, so I'm curious how it will be.

I hear where you are coming from. I think this year will be different and Kevork is absolutely correct about expectations. That being said, I’m in it to support an artist at the core. Anything beyond that is a bonus to me.

Thank you anyone and everyone with interest in joining me on the Patreon platform. I know platforms like that aren't for all, and I was very hesitant to create space there for many reasons. But, with the first year complete, I am entirely and forever thankful to those that travelled with me for the first year, and delighted to welcome any who would like to join me for the coming year's expeditions!

I shared this post on Facebook, so allow me to do so here as well, since this discussion has opened.

A small announcement regarding what Fellow Venturers of 2023 received will be receiving on my Patreon (and indirect reveal of the upcoming Tails of Mischief).
- Prototype V1 (1/7) (assembled tuck and cards)
- Prototype V2 (1/7) (flat tuck with new inside printing - custom Fellow Venturers print)
- Single engraved carat case (1/25) (in collaboration with Fellow Venturer Sherman of CaratCaseCreations)
- Limited cut uncut test print (semi-cut prototype card print, each approx 1/3)
- Importantly, an upgraded Japanese cedar wood Tails of Mischief set box. (Cards not included. Fits 4 decks [one of each]). I adapted the box for the campaign for a limited production run, using top quality cedar wood (smells lovely), moving gold stamp to top lid, and using a traditional Japanese Sanadahimo string. All for a more authentic feel of traditional Japanese boxing. (1/30)
- Digital custom create artwork representing you in these worlds
- Digital certificate of your name written in Gonen - the Nenya cat language.

Perhaps, you might be intrigued to join the adventures of 2024? New Fellow Venturer tier now open to all. Fellow Venturer tiers are open for all.

The thing I really, really don't like about Jack's Kickstarter projects is the very limited tiers he includes for some cool stuff. I lucked into the Ougi tier on Sensu just because someone just dropped one and I managed to find it before it was gone again. Ah well....it is what it is.

I don't believe that was live prior to my post but I do see it now, posted 35 minutes ago. I asked him about the tiers. I'm confirming about the wooden box now.
JBP wrote:There won’t be the same level of limited tiers like before. Patrons only have access to a few things but the campaign main decks have no limit.
EDIT: Wooden boxes won't be limited either. It'll only be limited to the number of backers who pledge that tier during the campaign but unlimited during. :)

There is a preview of the campaign posted for Patron's. The basic fee is rather nominal TBH. The pricing is still not finalized though. I can tell you that the tiers listed do not appear to include any limited items, which was a huge relief to me. Jack is becoming quite popular, so I expect it to do well. The decks, well Jack designed them...so yeah.

Hello everyone, happy new year and I hope you are all well. It seems you already have all the information above but please know that I am always accessible and very happy for people to reach out and ask questions. Whilst my art, whimsical worlds and inspirations are always what guide my projects, I do listen very carefully and my goal is, absolutely, to get my pieces and work into the hands of anyone that enjoys them. So, this campaign will have very few items that are limited in number to any backing during the project (of course, post project the items will be limited based on how many I am able to produce from funding). These have taken over a year to create and plan with interesting interactive elements, and as always will be used to support animal welfare causes and animal rescue activities.

I would like to invite you all the delve into the forest bed and beneath the Nazo Nazo guest house floorboards, and join the journey on Monday 15th, 11pm Japan Standard Time.

I'm curious if Jack sees this, whether he might add an all-in tier with a slight discount. I'm in for the full set with box, and the coloring book and story book as add-ons.

EDIT: I messaged him on Instagram to ask!

I was a few hours late to the party, but am in for a brick and a full wooden box set. I am not sure if I will be able to keep both. If not, which I will choose. I would like to add the book, but probably only if I drop the brick set....Maybe the full set and one or two extra decks to open...we will see.

Jack got back to me with a perfectly valid reason behind why the tiers are the way they are, in which case I'm okay with no "all-in" tier as it looks like he had already thought about it. He's always been a man of integrity.
Hey! I’ve had various people reach out with requests for specific tiers. It’s very hard. An all-in is possible, but I hadn’t planned one. It’s also hard to set value considering stretch goals are not entirely known and so adds an inherent risk in valuation. That’s why I tried to have all tiers as rewards, and all possible items as add-ons. The only issue is that shipping from Japan adds up.

Thank you everyone for your kind support and for joining the journey. I plan and will try my hardest to create a great experience as well, so do explore the page and read through the updates at your pleasure and leisure. Feel free to reach out to me directly on KS, IG, by email or however else you can reach me if you have questions about anything, anytime. My hope is to see the project continue to grow and meet stretch-goals that allow me to enhance and improve these pieces even more! Those on Patreon know that I am exploring intricate work on the card edges, if funding permits! A small reminder that the prototypes in the photos don't include all the features of the foiling and intricate laser cutting! And for those interested, I'm really proud of and eager to share the original Japanese orihon adult colouring book, and whimsical, beautiful novella!

Also shared on Pip/Tuck, but for any following here...Delighted to announce the new stretch goal - intricately hand-drawn edge printing, unique to each deck. I tried to create a highly detailed scene of mice wrapped around the edges of the cards. The test came out sort of lovely - a sort of fabric quality that looks like Japanese tenugui dyed hand towels. With this goal I hope to elevate the cards that everyone is already receiving. To help reach the stretch goal, do share the project with the community. But to help, for any interested, and because there were requests in campaign comments, uncut sheets are now available as add-ons.

Jack is one of the VERY few designers getting my money these days. Great communication, unique designs, tons of creativity and effort. That edge printing looks amazing, I really hope it does happen!
