Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I didn't manage to order the last 52 plus joker during the first sale, but ordered one now, when the rest of the members could order one deck. And among those decks they threw in a few numbered decks.
I was lucky enough to get a numbered deck and it took a while, but I finally realized I got a reaaally nice number

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
Long time, no post. Mostly because the card bug didn't bite me for long. With a pretty vast and broad collection now, that reaches from antique, vintage to contemporary decks nothing really feels new or exciting to me. So I basically follow a few selected creators nowadays and just fill some holes. Like I just did recently with the Pinocchio deck from Elettra. Plus I did stock up on some Moon decks.
While I'm a fan of the Fiorentina decks and the box design, I can't whole-heartedly recommend the Æterna 2 deck set though. Like with all Passione 2 deck sets, the boxes are very flimsy and not really to a standard I would deem en par as a collector's item. Doesn't help that the seal is upside down, haha. I just picked it up because I know the decks inside are great and to support Elettra by buying it at her shop.

Was that one big order?! Was there a sale on that I should have been aware of?
Or are we reducing shipping costs by buying in bulk?
You don't really live in Paro, Bhutan do you H?

Haha, no. I indeed don't live in Bhutan. I'm situated in Europe.
And no again, it wasn't one order. Thankfully there is an awesome US based collector, who helps me to reduce shipping costs by letting me send stuff to their home address. A lot of the stuff was laying around at their house for quite some months. I even forgot that I already had an Fiorentina Æterna at their place... well, now I don't have to hesitate opening one of them.

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I just added a UC Deck of the Year from a decade ago. It is a beautiful deck that I am lucky to have been able to get as a newb coming to the caper late but I had to note how things change. It would still go close if it was released now but there is absolutely no way it would win Best Back but would likely be considered muddy for without foil to give it a lift it may have been better in different colours.

Being on holidays, I still went to work for having a coffee with the colleagues. Had two nice parcels waiting for me there, too. Nothing beats a good coffee paired with awesome S17 and KWP decks.

It quite is. I can't wait to get some nice photos done with my #888 Bicycle Mystery Series Shriners deck and the KWP Fez deck side by side... .
