I ended up passing - boxes are interesting but the courts just didn’t rate high enough for me to beat the pressure of funds committed to Nazo and Rx - I did get the Vacuum Tube deck during that campaign, was more interesting to me

It is a rare day that my tastes don't align with GPC, but I really like these and don't have a good deck that marries "space" with the iconic feel of playing card courts. I found the Vacuum Tube deck to be too busy and was easy for me to skip. Nazo and Rx is getting my money too of course.

I've backed... I see the value in buying two if only to complete the rocket ship... I'm a sucker for "Shelf-spine-completionism" Since I store my decks in cassette holders.

Why wouldn't people want to get both colors?

i can only speak for myself but the days of buying multiple colors are pretty much over. i buy a deck based on multiple factors but one big one is the court art. if the court art is the same between versions (recolors) i see no reason to buy 2 for just a different color being used on the tuck and card back and pay twice for the same courts. this set has a bit of an incentive as the arrangement of the 2 decks form a rocket on the side. However, i do not display my decks with the side facing out so it will still be a one deck purchase for me.

if the campaign offers them as singles i will generally buy the color i like best. if the campaign only offers a set i am more likely to just pass altogether instead of being forced to buy 2 decks. i appreciate having multiple colors to choose from and also being able to buy only one of them.

That's why I avoid buying decks that are just tuck swaps or gilded and nothing else new.

As you may be aware, the decks were reprinted in May. We received new samples at the end of the month and confirmed their quality. ... The packaging process will be completed this week, and cello-wrapping will be done next week. Everything should be ready for shipment to the fulfillment centers by next Wednesday. The coin will be exclusively available as part of the bundle and will not be sold separately.

But also please remember that Sinkevich (@oldproof) designed this deck. I contributed some ideas, and we had a lot of discussions, planning, and collaboration to make it come to life. It was definitely a team effort. But we also have even more ideas in mind for this theme!

I don't know if you've noticed, but they have a so-called Fast50 section on the site where they sell some decks at a huge discount (2-3 hours sale per product). In this particular case, they sold maybe 12 Red decks. As soon as they continue doing so, I will buy back some EV decks for my local NZ shop as they are currently sold out.

P.S. In the past, I ordered some great decks using such sales.

I never ordereder from Murphy's before, and entered their website now, but didn't find that section and also appears they don't sale to customers, only wholesale?

Yup, SoCal is a retailer and some of the decks offered on their website is resale from Murphy's stock.

If we are talking about decks available on MM, they use Murphy's Magic numbers, so SoCal's stock level is 100% fake. Both companies are from California, so it's easier to have quick deliveries from Murphy's when they don't have a listed deck in stock. Of course, they have decks in stock and ready for immediate dispatch. However, it is hard to maintain an extensive range of products in own warehouse with their "low-cost" business model and such misleading inventory numbers.

p.s. Once again, only 12 decks were sold with a discount. If you order 100 decks at $8.30 each, SoCal will be at a loss of at least $4 per deck.

At any rate, there was never any intent to trick or falsify our inventory. We've many times have showed our storage area and it's pretty clear that we keep a minimum on hand. Our intent was simply to show how many of a certain item are available, whether it truly be on hand or via MM. If one really wanted to buy 146 of something, they would get 146. This is not a secret that we keep a low stock or even zero of a certain item on hand.

It's still very misleading! If you want to indicate that these decks are available on order, mention this on the page. You ordered, let's say, 10-15 decks using MM discounts where they sold decks, below production prices, and then a visitor opens your page and sees 146 decks available at this price. Okay. I am not against this practice for regular decks; it's not my business. But for sale items, it is very misleading! You cannot order 146 decks at this price with MM. Or can you?

One more - let's go even further - there is still MAP in place, you know what it means, right? MAP is $18.75 not $8.3! When I refer to the "low-cost" model, I mean exactly this! You take advantage of the system without respecting the rules set by the producer/MM.

MAP is bullshit. Nobody wants these decks for the asking price. Otherwise they wouldn't sit in the inventory. I wouldn't even take them if someone would gimme 5 bucks for taking them so there is nothing wrong with Henry selling them for a price that might save them from the trash bin.

I don't care about how you operate, really. I responded to your message with "bit of a chuckle" here and there. It's your business model, it's how you operate. That''s it. I don't say it's good or bad, again, it's not my business. It's beneficial for your customers but extremely bad for this market, as it removes one important thing in this puzzle - trust.
