This sure isn't the first, so why should it be the last?JacksonRobinson wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 3:47 pm Son of a biscuit!! I wanted to do a Star Trek deck!

Please still do it. I'd much rather have JR courts. It's just logical.JacksonRobinson wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 3:47 pm Son of a biscuit!! I wanted to do a Star Trek deck!

I was thinking the same thing but you know they have to go for playability.

Maybe you can get the rights to base your decks off of the TV-shows, while Theory11 gets the rights to the movies!JacksonRobinson wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 3:47 pm Son of a biscuit!! I wanted to do a Star Trek deck!

I'm curious to see who they've chosen for the queens. Uhura, obviously. Maybe the blonde who worked with Dr McCoy. Green chick Kirk slept with?

Well, that king could be Captain Pike (not Kirk) from the "strange new worlds" series which has many more female characters to choose from.shunterino wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2023 5:42 am I'm curious to see who they've chosen for the queens. True. I also just noticed the bottom pic on the king is different to the top.Evilgamer wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2023 8:36 amWell, that king could be Captain Pike (not Kirk) from the "strange new worlds" series which has many more female characters to choose from.shunterino wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2023 5:42 am I'm curious to see who they've chosen for the queens. Youre right, different color eyes and badge, no scar/shadow on the cheek.shunterino wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2023 8:47 amTrue. Mirror universe character? Not sure how well that would carry through a deck.
(the more I look the more differences I see, its a different uniform too)

Re: Star Trek from theory11
There’s a ton of women to pick from. TNG has six easily memorable ones. Then you add on DS9 and the other series and there’s a ton. Plenty to choose from.

Re: Star Trek from theory11
Yes, if it's for all the different series, but so far the images have only been for ToS. Frankly I would prefer if they only did one series at a time. I certainly wish the Star Wars Deck was only for ToS. Wait and see, I guess.

Sorry I thought everyone saw but they confirmed multiple series. Well, what I interpret to be all series.shunterino wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2023 10:09 amYes, if it's for all the different series, but so far the images have only been for ToS. Re: Star Trek from theory11
Part of me wishes this deck just concentrated on the classic TV series. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd deck down the line that concentrates on the later shows and movies.

Re: Star Trek from theory11
Based on that photo they posted it looks like Shatner on top, and maybe Chris Pine at the bottom? If they said old and new series, the new series is probably that latest movie trilogy. If they do that for all of the courts, that would be pretty cool to have both the old and new versions of the character on the same card. So many characters from this series to choose for a deck, so that sounds like a solid compromiseFenrir wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2023 11:33 amSorry I thought everyone saw but they confirmed multiple series. Re: Star Trek from theory11
For a younger-ish dude who missed the boat on Star Trek, which of the myriad series that have been named in this thread would you recommend I start with if I wanted to get a taste for the universe?

Re: Star Trek from theory11
The next generation. DS9 was great but stuck to its corner of the universe. Voyager literally got wormholed out of where everything else happened.PiazzaDelivery wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 12:53 am For a younger-ish dude who missed the boat on Star Trek, which of the myriad series that have been named in this thread would you recommend I start with if I wanted to get a taste for the universe?
Some of the newer stuff (lower decks, strange new worlds) is pretty good but lower decks for one, is basically written to be humor for someone who already knows what everthing is.

Re: Star Trek from theory11
decent, I dont need these though.
So the nerd answer to what did they use for source appears to be original 70s series and then the recent movies "kelvin timeline" with Chris pine etc on the original enterprise.

I haven't seen more than the odd episode here and there of anything Star Trek pre-2000 (I know, I know...) and I LOVE Lower Decks
