KWP did sell a block of wood once, so I honestly did believe this was the deck lol...

Okay. Ending on a nice note. I loved the first Christmas deck, and this will make a nice bookend to it. Again, it has been great that i was able to enjoy this ride from beginning to end.

Re: No. 13 Club by Kings Wild Project
I was going to add an "I keed! I keed!"
But, then I decided the joke was too obvious and didn't need it.
So, yes, it was a joke, and I think Jackson's rendering of "Day One," etc., was freakin' hilarious.
All kidding aside, these images for the Twelve Days of Christmas deck look totally tasty. I know I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I love the fact that he keeps playing with different styles. As mentioned above, this is a great bookend to the Club 13 series, and it absolutely stands as a great Christmas deck.
Oh, and I'll also mention that for Thanksgiving, we played a round of cribbage with the gilded Mistborn deck. (Not a Club 13 deck, but still seemed relevant-ish.) This is the first time I put that particular deck into group play, and it held up very nicely. Easy shuffling and dealing, no clumping or sticking, and added a nice splash of that elusive something-something to our holiday play.
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!

I am getting a warm fuzzy feeling imagining Rouselle's cribbage game

Knowing how good hsbc's pics are, and KWP's preferred palette, I am thinking these are very muted colors - in keeping with the times in which they are set

Re: No. 13 Club by Kings Wild Project
Just ordered two of them. Which makes KWP the brand I ordered the most decks from this year . Not that 11 total is a huge number but shows how uninterresting other offerings have been to me.

Re: No. 13 Club by Kings Wild Project
I received these as my subscription shipment a couple days ago, and then the green gilded that I ordered as part of their 13 Days of Christmas promotion arrived today. I opened up one of the gilded decks. My initial thoughts:
Great design, great illustrations, great theme, great font choices, metallic inks on both sides are deliciously shiny (without being ostentatious), firm card stock without being too stiff, cool and custom pips, gilding is quite tasty, fans well in spite of the fact it's gilded, and really this is one of those rare decks where every element comes together in perfect harmony. This one and the black gilded Overbite are a superb high note for KWP to end the year on (given that they also had several other solid releases earlier in the year, too, like the Two Towers, etc.).

Lel, nice Verum Videre twist on the black Overbite back design.

Re: No. 13 Club by Kings Wild Project
I would have preferred to only have one gilded version, but whatever. I am past being a KWP completionist. Overall though, I really am glad Jackson finished Overbite. It was such a cool idea.

Re: No. 13 Club by Kings Wild Project
I have all 4 and Im probably going to get a normal gilded overbite to get the darker one at this point.
I dont think I would want multiple versions of decks that often but that was a good one to choose.

Re: No. 13 Club by Kings Wild Project
But it looks silver almost white in those pics
I am not getting all the fuss over Overbite - does it have a connection to an American movie or cartoon or ?

Re: No. 13 Club by Kings Wild Project
It isn't based on any movie or cartoon. I mean it does have stuff you will recognize as "monsters", which will go back to various movies and books. However, the idea was to have this cool tuck with monster tucks inside of other monster tucks that "ate" the others. I thought it was cool and unique. Jackson really loved it....until he actually tried to prototype the tucks and realized that it was insanely complicated to size up each tuck, and even crazier expensive to actually assemble all those tucks. At some point I think he started trying to figure out how much it would cost to construct and he was a lot less keen on the idea.

I meant the pictures above my post (and I fixed mine to say that)
its very much a silver, it really depends how you hold the deck I did manage to get one shot that made it dark

Except mechanically, he did do that, at least for the highest editions, he just went with a 'crate' motif, he could have done it with art at least for those editions

Re: No. 13 Club by Kings Wild Project
The gilding of the Black Overbite definitely is shiny enough to where it can seem very silvery if you hold it one way, and black if you hold it another. But, that's one of the reasons I like metallics: they change depending upon how you look at them, and that's my favorite kind of art.
