Greetings

Unread post by ejronin »

Hello,

My name is Shawn. I'd have used my actual name (personal opinion is preference to actual name rather than screen or pseudonym) but it seems the forum wouldn't allow it so - EJ, RONIN, EJR, Shawn - whatever you want to call me is fine. I promise I've been called worse by better ;).

I'm here to get more involved with card design, card artists, collectors, and generally learn and provide input where I can. I hope that at some point in the next year after much more research and preparation, to look into a design of my own. However, if that doesn't happen - oh well, no big deal.

I'm an avid and recent collector and KS backer to some recent projects (Fed 52 II, Whispering Imps, Alice of Wonderland, etc.) and have noticed a few other users around.

I tend to be sarcastic and cynical - but also try to be generally helpful and substantive (if not verbose and pedantic at times).

So, yeah... hi.

I'm like that too, honestly it's hard not to be with all the crappy decks going on kickstarter

Excellent - pleased to meet you all, it's good to be around people who can be harsh but helpful. That's a magic trick all its own.

Yeah, greater access to the ability saturated the market with people who produce them because they can. I won't sit here and say I'm not considering it because I am, but I also know that it will be a minimum of a year before I can really hit the idea with seriousness in the presentation (research, research, research, more research, and a dump truck of coffee grounds ...mmmm... coffee, it's liquid bacon).
