The first day is always the best. The next week or two is always the slowest section of a campaign. Just please spread the word and let anyone you think might be interest know about the Beetle Backs! Your excitement for the campaign will create excitement in others!

Well yeah but day2 is also generally pretty decent, maybe half or 1/3 of the day beforeTheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 2:27 pmThe first day is always the best. I have noticed that for card campaigns really you could close most campaigns after the first 3 days and not really lose THAT much (the ones with a big new deck unlock being the exception as you pointed out in the long reply you made to a backer today). Most normal campaigns I have seen are more "u shaped" when people get knocked off the fence at the end providing a nice last push. Heck I looked at the tracker for successor and....I suspect you may have had "feelings" about that that may be unpleasant to even remember.
Sorry I have no personal social media, Wyrmwood just made a better push to the only group that might even read what I say other than here and reddit (which a few people did yesterday).
All I can do is wait till the prism unlocks and throw more money at the campaign.

Yeah. The Successor was a monumental day one and then a nightmare the rest of the way. I think Parlour and The Tale of The Tempest are much better examples to study. So far Day 2 for beetle backs is about 4.5k which is solid. The day is still young.

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
Here are the daily counts for tempest and Parlour. Day one for BeetleBacks was strong compared to Parlours. But day two for Parlour was better than day 2 was for either tempest or this thus far.

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
Tempest and Parlour look normal yeah
and I bet I can spot the day something unlocked as well
In any case youre already on the top of the recent curve, Giovanni didnt make $70k with his last campaign...but theres still a lot of campaign and unlocks to come.

Yeah the “everything-upfront” style of the successor campaign probably necessitated a really short campaign. Should’ve only done a week.

If we get to the 500% of funding, then the Legacy Edition unlocks and I might pick that one up, or I might pick up the Prism deck if the Legacy doesn't fund...or I might hold. The thing about this campaign is people may be more compelled later in the campaign to pick up some extras. As you have already said, that was much less the case with Successor, which was more of an "all in" campaign. However you do it, I think the decks look fantastic and I appreciate that you are dedicated to put out a quality product.

I don't know what's going on here.
I usually go to Discover->Games->Playing Cards->Sort by Magic (as default) to see how many % the project is funded. But now I couldn't find Beetlebacks anywhere on that list, even far below.
edit: can see it now, looks like a random thing lol.

Yeah, they just kind of cycle the projects. Glad you found it!Disenchanted_11 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 4:47 am I don't know what's going on here.

Today has been a great day so far. Already almost matching yesterdays totals and 12 hours to go in the period. This bodes well. SO MUCH different than Successor which basically flatlined after the incredible day 1. We are now closer to 400% than we are 300%--Prism unlock will hopefully be soon!

How soon after 400% will the ability to add-on be granted? I don't want to miss it

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
Some uncut tuck cases including a signed option--perfect for framing--have now been added to the add-on section. Only the editions available so far are included but as stretch goals unlock I will include those as well including a bundled pack with reduced shipping (where applicable).

You are a loyal backer. I’ll happily hold a prism for you if if comes to that. But let’s see. Maybe its Tuesday. Today has been predictably slow. As are Saturdays usually.

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
Honestly, for you and Piazza and Kevork and Laitostar and Bradius and all the other names that always pop up here... I would do that. Because if I recognize your avatar/screenname it means you've been a valued member of the community and have probably helped me. Also, the reality is that i don't think all 150 will sell out immediately. Although I hope I'm wrong because at $85 a unit $12700 would get us much closer to the next stretch goal.
Had a couple of folks reconsider their pledges who had big pledges... otherwise we'd be on the doorstep of 400% even more than we already are.

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
10min probably to 45min to an hour most likely before theyre gone.
The alternative of releasing in groups of 50 or 75 in my experience just makes it worse since you actually have an F5 war at that point as you've actually created scarcity.
Seen a few of those this year that lasted a matter of seconds for 25 or so copies. (ive won all of them except one this morning for 1/8 copies but it was just that...8, I got it in the cart but not through the checkout button fast enough).
And yes downside of having large bulk pledges set up is that people will drop them on review.

Yeah I figured it was better to try to grab it now and drop it later.
