That green and copper one, which I assume is the Dynastinae version is my absolute favorite. He definitely tapped into his Meadowlark Pharmacy on Main color palette for that one.

Prism on the other hand just feels gimmicky. It makes me ask "Do we need holo for this series?" The business side of things will say yes...

Im kind of with you so far, I love prism, but it doesnt do anything for the back and I'm not sure the art style on the faces needs it either.

It may grow on me, but this is my least favorite art style so far of the TGW decks.

Looking back through this thread and seeing that the Dynastinae edition is also going to have full color courts, I'll be in for that version for sure. That'll be the first of that edition I've gotten from TGW so far.

Right now it's all about the Beetle Backs in the TGW household. BUT... I'm just in awe of what Russ is doing on The Grave Witness. I CANNOT WAIT TO GET THIS DECK INTO WORLD.

Too bad that the writing on the wall is clear -- either card industry has been saturated or luxury spending has declined. Beetlebacks may not even unlock 500%-600%, which are really fun stuffs.

It's been 2 days and it's just about hit 400%. No need to be so negative.

Obviously my words will not affect the funding, I'm just referencing to the flat-lining that happens after the first couple of days.
Of course I want it to reach 500% because I specifically pledged for that, but at this day and age, I'll believe it when I see it.

Going to look so good when embossed. Can't wait for this campaign. My wallet can, but I can't.

400% and 500% both unlock new decks which will increase funding. 600% seems pretty likely at this point unless it truly flatlines.

Interesting what it does today after yesterday was uncommonly good

back to the original topic..yes those tucks are great, and I dont really put much stock in tucks normally.

Hi. I think this view is a bit pessimistic. We are currently on pace to do better than the Parlour. Which finished with 151k. 600% is 135k. At the average of $189 per pledge we currently have we would need an extra 267 backers. Over 21 days. I think 12 backers a day is a reasonable goal.

There’s no doubt luxury spending as a whole is down. And I think by and large interest in playing cards has waned a bit since the post pandemic spurt. But I also believe that the cream rises to the top. And that the best product will compel the stingiest buyers.

Finally I conceived of The Grave Witness as a project with wide appeal; a mystery in a tuck box. First there’s the obvious appeal to card enthusiast. Then the puzzle crowd who will enjoy the interactive murder solving element. And finally the fans of the mystery genre who will have a 13 chapter novella and a deck that will hopefully prove a novel addition to their libraries. Of course those are in order of diminishing interest but I think there’s enough here to push this campaign to nice heights.

Tuckwise my favorite TGW project so far. Cardwise a close second to Tempest imho.

That tuck is really cool but still not really feeling the art, especially on the non-courts.

In the simplest terms, if this wasn't a TGW deck I dont think I would have much interest in it.

Very curious to see if the limited type decks change that.

So far Im probably the only one but of the tuck options the the fuller cutout is my least favorite.

Those aren't tuck options. The cut out is a sleeve that goes OVER the tuck. :D

I'M feeling the art. This may be my favorite TGW deck so far, and I couldn't care less about the mystery part.

I like the standard version (black and red)! If paired with a white/black back design and a standard vintage box without any foil or embellishments, this deck will be my favorite of the year.

I haven't been as regular in my visits of late so I'm just seeing these for the first time. These are right up my street. 2024 is looking like it's gonna get expensive!! I think my budget (certainly for the first half of the year) is blown already.

the courts on this will definitely be the best TGW deck so far. the tuck design is spectacular, especially the copper and blue version. i only got the white deck on successor. none of the CAP or WW projects have interested me artwise. this looks great though. we will see how it goes with tier setup and pricing.
