Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
On the reward tiers, is it accurate that The Beetle Backs: Prestige Limited Ed. ($26) will include the Cobalt edition as well?
edit: I think it's obviously not correct.

The banner graphic above the picture and text for the Prestige Edition says "Legacy Edition."

Thank you. The banner was actually correct, the copy under the photo was wrong. It's been changed.

I thought you would add Goldsmith set as an add-on as well. Surely on CAP002, right?

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
ok feedbacks, nitpick edition
1. who did that video? I dont think Ive seen anyone put that much effort into the video on a campaign!
2. but I came out of having looked at this page wondering "what is the cool edition with the white faces and gold edges" since that never appears in a picture attributing it to an edition, I see the limited black/gold further down but I hope thats not an either/or.
2a. I wish there were more face pictures in general.
3. the wyrmwood boxes (didnt expect to see that considering recent events) why do you have the real ones open but there are no dividers in the pictures with decks in there? (also cheeky to put 3 dynastinae in one of them)
4. Im still not clear on how we get to 16 decks for the collector/prototype or if the price makes sense without that info its a massive jump up from everything else there.
5. box set is a good deal, much better than anything else on the page
6. "All variants will have inner graphics in golden foil at 150% funding" picture right above it isnt gold
7. picture of the brick box?
8. prismatic decks is a /500 150 for add-ons and 350 listed as for the completionist/prototype which only have 280 slots listed..that leaves Omar with 70 for his wall of (sparkly) fame.

1. who did that video? I dont think Ive seen anyone put that much effort into the video on a campaign! I did! Hoping that means you liked it!
2. but I came out of having looked at this page wondering "what is the cool edition with the white faces and gold edges" since that never appears in a picture attributing it to an edition, I see the limited black/gold further down but I hope thats not an either/or. I need to make this more clear. And I will. The white faces with gold edges is the DEFAULT cold foil faces that the Prestige/Legacy/Dynastinae and Prism all get at the start. AT 400% The Pretige/Legacy get the black and gold bordered faces. The Dynastinae retains the gold foil edges. As does the Prism until 800% where the gold is turned into holofoil on the prism faces. This will hopefully be made clearer with...
2a. I wish there were more face pictures in general. Absolutely! Chris is shooting more and the faces are the last photos MISSING from the page
3. the wyrmwood boxes (didnt expect to see that considering recent events) why do you have the real ones open but there are no dividers in the pictures with decks in there? (also cheeky to put 3 dynastinae in one of them) It just a shadow thing... the cases are the same open and filled. And it's the least wyrmwood could do to let me offer them.
4. Im still not clear on how we get to 16 decks for the collector/prototype or if the price makes sense without that info its a massive jump up from everything else there. For one thing the brick box brings 12! The collectionist/prototype tier is designed for people who want to set it and forget it and not have to worry about adding limited decks etc. Also, it's designed to help achieve those stretch goals by producing more funding early with the understanding that if certain goals are not met backers are welcome to switch out of the tier at the end. Hopefully everything will be unlocked and it won't be an issue.
5. box set is a good deal, much better than anything else on the page The brick box? Yeah its a good value.
6. "All variants will have inner graphics in golden foil at 150% funding" picture right above it isnt gold Good catch will fix.
7. picture of the brick box? Renders are coming from Widakk soon
8. prismatic decks is a /500 150 for add-ons and 350 listed as for the completionist/prototype which only have 280 slots listed..that leaves Omar with 70 for his wall of (sparkly) fame. Hardly, I will unlock those remaining ones as neccessary!

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
yep good pictures those are what I was looking for defintely, the gold edges make those cards "pop"
That certainly makes the value computations easier.
though personally...considering how much trouble Im having getting rid of duplicates recently I dont want any more duplicates but I would back a 1/each completionist.
I know the math for the prism gets messed up with that idea and it probably wont happen but hey...when given the chance to advocate for my interests and all....
I see the boxes correctly now ( man do I love the dark wood displays) I wasnt accounting for the divider only being in the lower half. I assume you've accounted for getting any of those to Europe that are needed.
I would suggest making that clearer in the pledge descriptions, from what Im reading there those tiers are both the brick(12, 4 each of the red/blue/black) plus what gets unlocked with the prototype adding a prototype prism(which it says). (if the rewards page would load some of this would have been apparent but obviously it wont show what isnt unlocked). For one thing the brick box brings 12! Isn't the prism holo faces at 600%? The page description for prism may need correcting as it also has 800% but the stretch goal section has it as 600% (800% for the gaff pack).TheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 1:10 pm

Also, minor, but the prism description says gold holo foil on the backs? Is it meant to be silver holo?

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
Yup, this is my one gripe with the campaign. Gatekeeping when it comes to completionism. I understand the reasons for doing so from a business/funding standpoint. As a collector, I am not a fan of having to get duplicates of decks I don't want in order to get the decks I do want. It also puts me in a weird position of needing to be a reseller/trader as a result, for decks that will have plenty retail stock.
Once again, I understand the reasoning so this isn't a criticism of Omar. As a collector, I would just prefer a tier where it's 5 of the decks in a tier, and then we can add-on the Legacy edition once the stretch goal is met whereas a brick box tier or prototype tier may get the Legacy automatically added on.
This is a clever idea.Disenchanted_11 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 2:36 am I thought you would add Goldsmith set as an add-on as well. Surely on CAP002, right?

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
So the way it is now the Legacy and Prism will be available to add-on (150 units) for ANYONE when they become unlocked. The completionist tier is for the set-it-and-forget-it mentality backer. That just doesn't want to hassle and knows that eventually they will get all they want. The Brick Box is VERY discounted in these tiers. Coming out to about half off. PLUS the box is very handsome. The Prototype tier will receive the MOST limited decks in the line: a somewhat individualized prototype deck in a numbered branded carat case. So that one is most definitely a tier for the super backer.kevork wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 4:42 pmYup, this is my one gripe with the campaign. Gatekeeping when it comes to completionism. I have made it this way SPECIFICALLY to counter the critiques of my previous campaign which essentially 'gatekept' the prism behind the sarcophagus tier. This go round you can literally back for a standard deck ONLY and add a prism if you so desire.

Incredible! Thank you for that information, Omar. I haven't had a chance to completely peruse the preview link and you probably had mentioned it on there already.

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
No. hes absolutely not gatekeeping and for that Im grateful.
It's an upsell, yes but the base value of all 7 decks is $268 and the completionist is $345 so youre paying about $80 for not having to come back to get the prism/marked/gold later in an F5 war and in return getting another 8 decks, the actual value proposition is very good it works out to about an $80 discount ($421 if google sheets did this right)
Omar one more thing, you keep referring to the "as yet unrevealed" limited legacy deck, its pretty revealed, how about the "still locked" deck

Prisms are $85/$150 signed and they sell out. Granted on different print runs and circumstances but damn, perspective is a weird thing.TheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 8:14 amHmmm. $95 Goldsmith surely will sell some, or at least will have the exposure. If people don't bite for now, maybe they'll do on proper CAP002 campaign.

This one is actually quite nice.
Kudos for the campaign itself. You can't please everyone but this campaign truely trys to achieve the impossible in that regard. Tip to the hat Omar.
The pictures of the cards are exquisite. For me they are even too good (lol) as they show exactly what I dislike about Cartamundi cards. Great design regardless of my subjective dislikes though.
Best of success with this project .

You know, I'm not usually a fan of large swaths of black and gold. Often it just looks gaudy or tacky to me. But these are really nice! Maybe it's the double gold border or the fact that the background is not completely black. I'll have to pick up whatever I can afford.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Page is juuuust about ready now.
Added rendered images for the brick box, some beatiful macro shots that Chris took of the cards, and some additional refinement.
Youtube really throttled my video today... I launched a Beetle Backs intro video with the hopes that my entire subsciber base would see it, it's done about half the views my Successor KS video did. Partially my fault because I haven't been posting as much, but youtube doesn't do creators any favors. You spend 5 years building up 15k subs and then only 2k see your posts.

I saw it because you posted it on reddit and I doubt Im the only one. But yes there are creators who dont feel like they can take a week off much less large chunks of time.
And thats a fancy deck box for sure, I made one comment about a previously pointed out discrepancy on the page.
