Re: "Stop War"
Thank you all so much who still support me morally, also on the project. I probably won't be making any more adjustments to the shirt, at least not in the next few days. Honestly, we are squeezed out like a lemon!))))))) need a break for a few days! The schedule was very tight, this despite the main work and periodic sirens! Thankfully, at least the lights were not cut off

Can you tell us more about the artist Kateryna Biricheva?
Who is Serhii Kostiuchenko listed under your details on KS (About The Creator)?

Re: "Stop War"
Kostyuchenko Sergey Nikolaevich, this is me, who is working on the project with the artist Ekaterina Biricheva. And yes I asked my friend Angelica to become the face of the project on Kickstarter. And yes, I am the one who led the project "Dance of Death" Which was delayed with the shipment, due to drugs and later the disease Tuberculosis. For which I had to stay in an inpatient tuberculosis hospital, as reported... While there, I looked for options to send the cards, which can be confirmed by the reports of those who received them. But you do not see other people's problems..., at stake are your few dozen dollars, which returned to you decks of cards, but a little later!

I see 'About the Creator' has now changed
There seems to have been a lot of messing around Ruta/Sergey
I see you delivered on your Dance of Death and your supporters liked what you delivered
If people like what you have shown for Stop War then there is no reason for them to not support this project
But as Timmargh said "Wow, this got weird"

I did not know this is Sergey's project, the creator of Dance of Death decks? I am confused. He sent an update out for the Dance of Death KS project stating this.

Re: "Stop War"
Every one of us makes mistakes. But to find the strength to admit it and say it openly. I think it is at least worthy of attention to listen to a person and give him a second chance! Each of you put anywhere from $25 per deck on the line. I put $1000 on the line for the artist's work. Which one of us is the bigger risk?! So, before you condemn each author of the project, who really makes efforts to fulfill the project, think what each of us is risking. With respect Sergey Kostyuchenko!

Re: "Stop War"
I think it’s the reveal mid-stream vs up-front that is the “intriguing” point - as for the $ value of risk, that would incorporate trust that the figures presented and intentions were real - not that I doubt them, but when it comes to trust, it’s earned and does not stand up to much tinkering.

Re: "Stop War"
It isn't about risk its about honesty. We though we were advising a young, (female not that it really matters) artist developing a deck that was personal to them.
Honesty and trust are pretty big where KS campaigns are involved.
To come out and say not only is the artist not the person we were working with but we weren't even working with the actual creator of the project at all especially one with an existing KS history that wasn't the best really changes thing for a good number of people.
Also you've apologized for nothing, only provided a reason why your last campaign was late delivering, not at all why it looks like a lot of people thought the quality wasn't good to oversimplify. If anything auto translate caused or not todays message was more of a challenge to backers than encouragement. "Do what you have to do" is usually used in English to tell someone proceed with a course of action that could be negative for the person who said it.
This campaign was already off to a not promising start, this probably ends what chance it still had.

Re: "Stop War"
I am still in for a deck at the moment and I’m fine with the risk but I wouldn’t say its not about risk for anyone…
The idea that you having $1000 risk vs someone having $25 (or more) isn’t really a risk mitigation - as if the campaign funds and things go wrong it’s more a matter of your ability to avoid/deal with trouble as well as the depth of your pockets and willingness to reach into them to resolve the unforeseen. None of it speaks to where money goes and who is happy or unhappy at the end.

Re: "Stop War"
Then I'll give my point of view on the subject too! You are used to being licked and lavished on by young project authors. And you are mentors, giving out recommendations on where and how to draw, where to apply, where to print and so on and so forth.... Just as naively, I did with my first campaign, when according to the assurances of people on this resource, faced with the desire to print necessarily on Kartamundi, as NPCC is not good enough for their collections. (You can read the correspondence, since you decided to dig deeper) Faced with the difficulties of language, customs issues for importing maps in Ukraine and so on, so on. And here under the guise of a young lady, I see another "mentor" who tells me how to do it right and what to do.... And I am genuinely curious to watch all this! A person who has traveled this path has experienced disappointments, faced a lot of problems, who put everything on the line, got into debt and so on.... So believe me, I've had so much shit in my life that someone will have enough for a couple of lifetimes. I got 13 years in the camps. And in spite of that, I find the strength to do something worthy. Even if it doesn't always work out. But I try to make a difference in my life. And not just go around telling people what airplanes to fly and where to go. And yes, in my Odessa every night sirens wail, missiles hit the ports. But for you, it's just a cartoon plot.... I'm done! Save your words for the young next artist.Evilgamer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 1:23 pm It isn't about risk its about honesty. Re: "Stop War"
I'll tell you frankly! I love being attacked. And the more fierce the confrontation, the more energy I gain! Yes, I know this project is a failure. But I was able to work on a good idea. I put the pain of my people into it! And I'm standing up for it to the end! I didn't change my shoes at the request of another "mentor." I'm going all the way! Because there's more to it than money! It's the intention to convey my vision! As for $1000 for a country at war, the average monthly wage is $300. With the minimum wage: "From January 1, 2023 the minimum wage in Ukraine is 6700 UAH ($180) without tax. Last time it was raised in 2022. People's deputies promised that they would consider a proposal to raise the minimum wage in 2023, but the relevant bill No. 8431 was withdrawn from consideration. So I think this sheds some light on what $1000)))) is to me.

An unusual position to take considering the deck title - and there didn’t seem to be much reason for confrontation here, just forthrightness.

Re: "Stop War"
Ok, lets see if we can put this all into perspective…
1. Make love, not war is a bit more “Stop War”
2. If you want peace, prepare for war is with or without a paraphrase, true enough - but perhaps not exactly in line with the vibe of the deck. A strong defense or a strong response are different decks.
3. Going from female first time Kickstarter creator to male second time creator with last project having had issues mid stream is where the issue of forthrightness comes into play
4. If I were moderating this forum from a bomb shelter I might have a different tone, and I might be unaware that I was quite a bit more keyed up than the asses in couches I was talking to
5. As bad as being in a war zone is I wouldn’t want to speak to an internet audience and assume that my day was the worst within earshot either - some people have had some pretty rough lives all by their lonesome.
I’m ok with either attitude on war - not going to judge anyone for either of those - and I’m ok with either deck, produced by either person, but as per the above post - I still find the mix confusing.

I thought Ruta Chervova was the artist. Now it says Ekaterina Biricheva is the artist. And Ruta was apparently using this UC account, but turns out it's actually Kostyuchenko Sergey Nikolaevich who is also listed as the creator, but then there's also Angelica who is running the Kickstarter or something? This is confusing af

This part is where the disingenuousness is, speaking about himself in the third person.RutaChervona wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 4:53 amGood afternoon. No, with Sergey, I consult on the style, vision and design of the page. Since he had experience on kickstarter. They worked with Evgenia Topchiy from Russia on the "dance of death" cards.
KS Creator: Kostyuchenko Sergey Nikolaevich using pseudonym Ruta Chervona, which means "mythical flower of Carpathian beliefs." Previous KS was Dance of Death, which appears to have had some issues and delays with delivering and I just see a recent comment on that KS of someone never receiving their rewards. I bought these secondhand without knowing the controversy behind them.
Artist: Ekaterina Biricheva
KS Liaison: Angelica - used as the middleman because Ukraine is not allowed to use KS.
I'm curious Sergey. Why the reason behind the initial anonymity, only to divulge your real identity during the KS? I admire your ultimate honesty and incorporating the community in your deck drafting, but your behavior viewed in its entirety does not spark confidence. I still wish the campaign the best.

His KS page was not as open as it is now but it only took one click to raise the questions that I asked
He has been deceptive even though his chosen quest is wholesome
It was a silly thing to do as many people are going to research a KS campaign
You got this dreadfully wrong Sergey and I hope you get it right in another medium in the future (as card design is likely finished for you)
Your attitude that "you are all rich folk that should not be questioning me" is that of a 'victim' - I hope you become a 'survivor' not a victim as those of us that have survived massive tragedies know that there is difference which I hope your translator distinguishes
Reading back it would seem that Rousselle had serious doubts before me
