Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
Sweet! I've been very happy with their last 4 campaigns, and this one doesn't look like it'll disappoint.

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
The designs have been beautiful, but I wish they used a different printer. The cards don't feel as premium as they look imo. I'll still probably back tho

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
The left tucklooks kind of neat butI have not backed any pocket aces decks and it does not appear that this deck will change that. will have to wait and see the courts. I don't expect that will change my mind judging the courts from previous designs.

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
Hmm, that last pic tempers my interest just a tad. What he did with the courts in the gravity/Luna deck was much more interesting and elegant that that seems. I'll wait to see the rest before passing judgement though.

I'll take it a step further and say, "I'm out." I don't like those spot cards at all.Adamthinks wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 12:01 am Hmm, that last pic tempers my interest just a tad. I'm quite the opposite – I'm a sucker for cards with the number or letter in big print like that; case in point: viewtopic.php?p=207217#p207217

Don’t think I’m in, but thats only because I have a severe case of “got too many decks to get all the ones I want” unless I start charging them rent to live here.

Looks pretty nice. I love space but I can’t say I love the price. Their precious work has been good though.

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
I wasn't loving the design before, but I do love how thoughtful the design is for every element. Seeing the full deck, and how the cards form together to make a couple larger pictures ( I suspected they might) put me over the edge. I'm in for both decks. I've loved their previous decks, want to continue supporting their work, and am a sucker for space related stuff. Plus that aurora holo version looks dope.

Predictably, they won't deliver to UK, again. I'm not overly keen on the deck anyway, but I do like their previous Luna deck.

This sums up very nicely how I’m feeling. I’m a bit turned off by price but I’m a huge space fan and this feels well thought out.Adamthinks wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 9:01 am I wasn't loving the design before, but I do love how thoughtful the design is for every element. Joker reads “Annual Eclipse” - it should be “Annular” (sent them a kickstarter message)
Interested in it, liking the design and the card assemblies - price has me on the fence still…

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
I looked at it really hard, but if you are going to sell me the deck I want for $50 later why would I pay almost $80 for it now and get a variant I never really wanted in the process?

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
On a side note, I have decided to build a wall cabinet - whole wall, 14x9 or some odd - so a touch more room for cards soon…
And I agree - if they sold the limited by itself I would likely already be in.

yeah, i would the corona version. i havent seen the price on that version but if the ''standard'' version i am FORCED to buy to get it is $29 i am guessing the limited is much worse. no f%&^&*g thank you on those overpriced, gated decks.

With shipping I think it was $77 to get it along with the normal deck.STLBluesNut wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 10:21 am yeah, i would the corona version. i havent seen the price on that version but if the ''standard'' version i am FORCED to buy to get it is $29 i am guessing the limited is much worse. no f%&^&*g thank you on those overpriced, gated decks.

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
To be fair, the "normal" or enthusiast deck is gilded and foiled to kingdom come as well. I think it's fair for the price?
I've backed for enthusiast edition of Sol and Luna. I'll pass on holo foils as they are too much to handle all at once.

Update on this:
Hi there!
Yes, your friend / acquaintance and I chatted about it - unfortunately this one's going to have to stick as we are knee deep in production.

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
Annual doesn't sound too wrong anyway, provided that we do really have annual solar eclipses? (I'm not an astronomer)
Also they just outed themselves as one of the producers who make store out of KS.

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
“The maximum number of solar eclipses (partial, annular, or total) is 5 per year. There are at least 2 solar eclipses per year somewhere on the Earth. A total eclipse can only happen during a new moon. Total solar eclipses happen about once every year or two.“

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
I beg to differ. Considering that they funded on Day 1, they probably gave the green light to start the printing process. At over 600%, and after multiple KS campaigns, I would like to think they are confident enough to do so.Disenchanted_11 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 2:02 am

So if the printing has already started, it really is too late to make any changes.
Gio did the same as well by getting the printing started before his recent Incubo campaign ended.

Re: Gravity / Sol by Pocket Aces
I don’t get the aversion to producers who have the capital to do it and or confidence in their product getting production going before starting or ending a campaign.
Not everyone is Amazon and has people checking their site every day for new products or likes getting marketing email.
If you have an established successful marketing mechanism (like wyrmwood). You don’t need it as much everyone else…I get it.

Ermm, it's essentially the same thing, no? I have no problem with it, I like it better as we can get the goods faster.Eric Lee wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 12:51 amI beg to differ.
