Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
boy they sure do love their jerry's....so much so they made their own. The way they sell their cards, perhaps they believe they'll one day sell these for 200-400 a pop. Hmm..still don't like the design...then again i'm not a fan of jerry's either. Can't comment on handling since i don't actually own any D&D cards. I just realized that. Ah well i'm sure they'll handle nicely since it's for cardists/flourishers.

Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
Thing is, of all the cards I own, I'd put the D&D decks at the bottom of the handling scale. I'm not sure what combo they use but it always seems to add to a somewhat clumpy deck. The orange Ace Fulton I have just sticks together like mad. Can't get an even fan out of a brand new deck. Rather odd.kc62002 wrote: Ah well i'm sure they'll handle nicely since it's for cardists/flourishers.

wow, that's really sad to hear that the famous flourishers/cardists that they are, they can't produce a great handling deck.

The Ace Fultons are really terrible for fanning other D&D decks like the Smoke and Mirror Series were great in handling. The Fantastique were good too.Encarded wrote:Thing is, of all the cards I own, I'd put the D&D decks at the bottom of the handling scale. Hopefully they improved the quality on the blue&red Ace Fultons.

Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
They look alright but I don't feel like I need to have them. It's a pass for me.
Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
I read this and had a question:
"Reprinted with an all new finish!
Now availabe in Red Hot and Dodger Blue.
Ace Fulton's Casino playing cards are available in both Cambric (Orange & Brown) and Ivory (Red & Blue)."
Its a little misleading.
Can anyone confirm if they changed the finish on the Orange and Brown as well?
Or are these just more of what was previously "sold out"?

Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
Did anyone read the bull$#it Dan & Dave is trying to feed us about Ace Fulton's t-shirts? They're claiming these "vintage" t-shirts were sold in Ace Fulton's casino gift shop for only one summer but they magically found a stash of them in the attic (ala S&M v.6) and only 100 were printed and fewer exist. The Ace Fulton casino is a ficticious fake casino!!! This is a new low in over-hyped advertising. Goddamn these guys are such d-bags!!!
Of course the finish on the red and blue decks are improved - I don't know if its possible to be worse than the clumpy pieces of $#it known as the orange and brown Ace Fulton's "casino" decks....

I'm pretty sure they're not actually saying the casino existed, despite their descriptions.
Example on their Ace Deck page:
"These souvenir playing cards are inspired by what was once offered complimentary to guests of Ace Fulton's Casino in Las Vegas. Reminiscent of vintage playing cards from casino's like Jerry's Nugget, the Ace Fulton's Casino Playing Cards combine that retro style with a modern stock and finish. And just like Ace's casino, no detail was left unnoticed..."
Its just part of their whole marketing campaign surrounding all things "Ace Fulton". I mean, look at their photography. Does everyone think they found an old photo of "Ace" at his casino with his cards?
D&D are just over dramatic about all their products (as most companies are).
Its an understood fiction. A "nudge nudge, wink wink" kind of thing.

Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
Yeah i was kinda confused when i read the new add for the Ace Fultons Casino cards.
I was like : did they reprint the fucked up brown/orange decks?
The text below the photos on the d&d website said that orange/brown decks had cambric finish and the new
Red/blue version got ivory finish.
I was tempted to get another dealer brick...but then my brain turned back on (it was early at 5'clock in germany)
And it said : you dont need abrick...you already got a midnight fuel....and the previous ace fultons were crap....
So instead of spending $121 dollar on a dealers dozen i went for 3 of red&blues and it was good.

Is there a way to tell them apart from Version1 (crap finish) and the new Version2 (cambric finish) ?

Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
Not to my knowledge.
I don't have any V1 deck here to compare them, all my stock is now V2.

Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
From what I see , the Orange and Brown still have the same finish .
It's from the Overview section :
These souvenir playing cards are inspired by what was once offered complimentary to guests of Ace Fulton's Casino in Las Vegas. Reminiscent of vintage playing cards from casino's like Jerry's Nugget, the Ace Fulton's Casino Playing Cards combine that retro style with a modern stock and finish. And just like Ace's casino, no detail was left unnoticed, inlcuding a few "security" measures. We'll leave those for you to discover though. All in, they're the cards we've always wanted.
Printed by the US Playing Card Company and available in four colors and two finishes.
Cambric: Tobacco Brown & Sunset Orange
Ivory: Red Hot & Dodger Blue
Designed by Brad Fulton and illustrated by Dan Phillips.
For a limited time, Ace is offering 250 of his Midnight Fuel decks from his private reserve. Learn more.
Please note that although we do our best to ship out orders as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours, there might be a slight delay as we get through the influx in volume from this release. Thank you for understanding.
So yea ...

And the bottom of the deck ( V1 ) it states Cambric 37 , so there isn't any changes ?

Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
I got a response from D&D that said these orange & brown were definitely a new finish from a new print run.
No word on how limited.

Oh ok ... But is it still on Cambric finish ? I would prefer Ivory finish ...

Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
It would be neat if they had some with Ivory and some with Cambric and we could choose which one we wanted. Sort of like what CARC does.

Re: Ace Fulton's Red deck and Blue deck
I know these cards because I got them..
USPC messed up D&Ds order and they were not HAPPY at all with the 1st run of cards..
The orange and Brown decks have the cambric finish .. The black decks ORIGINALLY were the same finish...
They sent them back to the USPC though and waited weeks to have them re-done with the ivory finish...
I have not got any of the Blue and Red dEcks yet but Dan told me they were the same as the black fultons, which is good..
