I received my decks today and looking at my past comments above, this campaign is a little bit of a letdown.

I'll start with that all 4 of the tucks look great.
However, the obsidian and sapphire decks look the same! Besides the tucks, both decks show no difference.
The topaz silver gilding had smudges on it but it's minor.
All four of the decks have no metallic inks. If so, then it does not pop at all! From the renderings, it did look like it'll be similar to Lee's white Royal deck but nope, inks are lackluster.

Well ran campaign but the execution was not fully there. The cards are still good to play with but I probably would giveaway the sapphire deck.

I got mine and I'd generally agree. Tucks are very nice, cards for Obsidian and Sapphire are identical. It's definitely metallic ink being used, but it doesn't shine like you'd see on some of the Thirdway decks. I like the backs, Aces, and number cards, but the courts are a bit comic strip cartoony which doesn't really match the style of the rest of the deck, which is very ornate. They're not bad decks at all, but I wouldn't say they really stand out outside of the tucks which again are nice.

I was a bit disappointed with these. I had backed just the Obsidian deck. The card backs look a bit dull/muddied and the metallic inks didn't give me the shine I was anticipating. These would have looked much better foiled and I was fooled by the renders on the KS. I am definitely more mindful moving forward as metallic inks don't really give me the satisfaction that foils do.

So glad I chickened out from the campaign…

I think creators should consider using existing projects that uses those promoted feature in order to explain the expected outcome (like how Gio shows his past projects featuring metallic ink).
This is WHY Prototypes are very important! Don’t have the resources of that, the renders HAVE to be accurate - otherwise it can be disappointing when the final is not as expected.

I think: in case of how shiny the metallic ink is depends if the ink is Pantone or not. Pantone is known for always accurate between samples and outcomes

Got my deck today. I am also underwhelmed. The backs are muddy and could have used a lot more contrast. While I knew these would not be super shiny with the metallic ink, the lack of foil is a real missed opportunity that would have made both sides look 10 times better. I’m actually glad that he refused to make 2 different color ways because now I’m only stuck with one mediocre deck instead of two.

Did anybody else receive an incorrect pledge fulfillment?

I backed for $341 but received only 7 decks in total. I received 2 signature sets, one Topaz deck, one Sapphire deck, and one Obsidian deck. I did not get either of the collector's boxes I pledged for. Not sure why I received a 2nd signature set plus the 3 single decks. I messaged Jody but I have not heard back yet.

Ehhhhhh I'm joining the chorus of the disappointed. I echo the lack of shine, but the worst part for me is the 6-deck collector's box.

Idk if I have any right to be down on it. "Black paper stock" and "gold hot foil stamping" it is, but the paper looks like some cheap cardboard, it's scuffed in multiple spots, some of the edges are already lifting upon delivery and the decks were so snug inside the package that the tucks all bevel inwards and the box bows outwards.

I'm just disappointed. With a name like Eminence and mock-ups like the ones on the campaign page, I was just expecting... more.

Ugh that box looks so cheaply made. Looks like some corners were cut in the production. How did that even pass the proof stage? Plus, it was not handled very gently in the process. Why would they feel this would be OK with collectors?
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

I received the two-deck signature set and the topaz and obsidian decks. I have only opened my Obsidian deck. This was just metalic inks, and I was fine with it. I might not be blown away, but not underwhelmed either. I have come to have low expectations when it comes to the hot foil decks I get from PRC (or anyone other than Lotrek). I do like Cardamundi's coid foil decks.

My 6-deck collectors box was also banged up and smells like smoke, but I wouldn't want a replacement. It's going in the trash.
