This is off topic but, may I ask what email address/communication method did you use to contact Lotrek? One of the teal Silk decks arrived with a strange crease at an unusual area on the tuck box (ie. not the corners nor the edges). I've tried 2 methods to contact Lotrek but had not heard from him. Thank you in advance.

I just use his contact information option on his website. Even so, it can be hit and miss as it often depends on how insanely busy he is at the moment. I do know he tries to especially get to deck shipment problems as he really does want to have a positive experience with his customers. If you don't get a response in a couple of weeks, just resend. Just remember it is a massive firm involving Lotrek and his wife.

The ones in the picture appear to be gold. My understanding is they should all be done since they used the same printing plates, but different foils (gold vs. silver) and card stock (red vs. purple). No confirmation on that though.

My thought is that there is no chance the Patreon Silks get mailed with the Public Silks, the reason being that those are part of the Patreon package. We're supposed to be getting a special brick/half-brick box to hold the lot of the year 1 rewards and I assume that everything it should contain will be sent together.

Oath Standard Players Burgundy and Navy, Golden Rule, and Silk Players Sand were not given for free to Patrons and instead were each sold on their own (Patrons got a discount)

Yeah, in correspondence with him, Lotrek mentioned the gold/silver is still needing to be cut this month, so it looks like the ones that have been shipped to the fulfillment centers are Royal Silk purple, which were not part of the Patreon package.

I live in the EU and my Silk players are coming from Gambler's Warehouse. This really is a bummer, because now the extra taxes kick in! Usually my orders have been sent from Germany or Greece.

Seeing them side by side, I'm having the opposite reaction. I MUCH prefer the original design. The coloring and detail are far better in the original in my opinion.

I agree. It would seems to me to be the difference between painted and computer designed.
I bought UUSI Classics for the very reason that they were painted (Had to shop around as I was not paying UUSI's $98 postage )
ps I am a big Lotrek fan and own several including multi Golden Rule

I know this is way past the hype of The Golden Rule, yet I like to posts the side-by-side comparison between the OG Dondorf Shakespeare deck VS Lotrek's The Golden Rule. Just wow, I fell in love with them - definitely like the Jack of Spades - from originally the Gravedigger into a Trumpist. And look at how Lotrek’s retain the close look to the original AS WELL as making the classic imagery for the KoH - the sword on the back of his Highness head



Inspired from Dondorf Shakespeare for real, and Lotrek made a better version~ It is good that card designer is inspired from decks of the past - it helps the modern people to understand the long history of playing cards.

wasnt these redemption decks for the consistent delays?? details on these were only made public on Dec 2, 2022 and we got a total of 5 decks for 10 months this year (oct)

what is going on here? seems more money went into delayed decks then actually completing what was promised in 3 yrs

As far as I know Lotrek has always delivered what was promised and in spades.
Sure the man has a concept of time that we mortals don’t understand, but it’s a small price to pay.

All it means is that once he's finally fulfilled all the Year 1 + 2 Patreon rewards, that's the end of the Redemption series

As nice as it is to see the Icons Celestials, and they are gorgeous , seeing pictures of the Royal Silk in the hands of a consumer marks a milestone for Oath's Patreon. Together with the decision to stop printing for others and other smaller things, this is THE project that had hampered pretty much everything since the inception. There will surely always be more delays, but this has been almost solely responsible for any and all frustration, antagonism and dissatisfaction with Lotrek's subscription. And it's FINALLY OVER!
