Not really feeling the art here personally.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

There's a kernel for something really cool here, but this missed the mark for me. That back design in particular feels unfocused and looks like a mix of styles that don't quite mesh.

It gives similar vibes to the Kogara deck.

I'm definitely liking this blue stock compared to the mockup and if that's foil I'm seeing on the waves, it looks great.

I don't really like that it says "Playing Cards" on the front. Feels unnecessary when Akita could be written much larger.

Yes - I would use the bottom of the tuck (perhaps top or side) if I felt a need to label them as Playing or Poker cards - no need to interfere with the front or back of an art deck with such a tag

And I would not feel a need - pretty sure I wouldn’t at least (not my money on the line)

Actually interested in the answer people have to that one - without a label on it saying they are poker/playing cards anywhere would a deck potentially suffer? I can’t imagine it, since they won’t be on a retail shelf but always get the benefit of an internet description or categorized store…

I don't believe it would suffer for the reasons you mentioned. You hit the nail on the head.
